Just to prove I'm not a bandwagoner later on

Bastardous Bassist:
Oh, right.  My mistake.

Cernach:
Everyone needs a brisk crippling now and then. Toughens the soul and readies you for the rigours of later life.

Chesire Cat:

--- Quote from: Bastardous Bassist ---The real question is, does it really matter that much?  Honestly, I'm okay with advertising, because it introduces me to things sometimes.  Sure, it's poor to base everything on advertising, but how bad could it hurt to just look in on it a little bit?

Problem is, where does it end.

When I am in the shower, I dont want to be advertised at.  And every time we let ads infiltrate our lives a little bit more, and become comfortable with it, then marketers are able to take a next step in invasive advertising.

Hell look at ign...  Was once your average video game cheat site call segasages, now Im pretty sure you have to sign up to have them put adds in the middle of a news topic about how advertising within games has become the newest frontier of marketing, oh and punch the monkey for a new cell phone while your reading.

Thrillho:
Is that the guy who does all the tapping? I need to buy his album, because I was utterly amazed at someone who's taking something so skilful but still managing to make awesome music out of it - I'm looking at you, (80% of) shredders!

Honestly, I don't really know what percentage of our lives there's ads.  I've just gotten to where I tune it all out, in general.  I mean, you could tell me places where there are ads, and I'll remember that, sure enough, there are ads there, but I probably couldn't come up with a large number of ads.  As such, I generally don't mind.  If I'm looking for an ad, then it's easy to find, but otherwise I just don't pay attention.
