in the nightside eclipse by emperor is the only black metal album i could ever get into. i've been sure why either, but i do love that album.
mostly my kind of metal is stuff like metallica, sepultura, machine head, corrosion of conformity, down (uk tour yessss!), black sabbath, fear factory, will haven, clutch, crowbar, and kyuss.
i love metal i really do but whenever i say i'm a fan peoples instantly seem to think i'm going to be some knuckle dragging head banging moron. which is a shame because there is some wonderful intelligent beautiful music that these people are going to miss out on by acting so close minded.

I've downloaded thier Si Monumentum Requires Circumspice album a while back, and I did'nt get a chance to listen to it yet. Any thought on them and on the album?
And to be on topic, I'm looking for good Death Metal bands, kinda ran out of stuff to listen to.
Bands in the vein of Morbid Angel, Carcass, Edge of Sanity, Anata, Dark Tranquillity, Cryptopsy and Meshuggah.

Daudi Baldrs is a beautiful album, easily his best work. I like to read the myth while listening to it by candlelight.
