I would just like to say, Dave Matthews Band isn't sucky as long as you cut him off at Everyday. Anything Everyday and after is complete bullshit since Dave stopped solo writing his work.
I still think Before These Crowded Streets is damn good stuff.
As far as stuff to introduce him to, try to ease him in to it a bit. Start with the Smiths and work your way up to Sufjan. Just, for all that is holy, AVOID PAVEMENT.
