Meh, I'm just being so tongue-in-cheek that I believe my tongue is now in the next room over, and I'm going to have to go retrieve it. I'm not too concerned with changing people's musical tastes, most of the people I know around here like indie (hell, I live in "the indie capitol of the world"), which I'm not too fond of, and I think it could be said that most of the people I know aren't too fond of my music either (or at least, wouldn't be too fond of it if they knew what I listened to).
That being said, people tend to find it annoying when others try to change their musical tastes, especially with repeated efforts, and I guess it's just best to avoid the musical issue. So, rather than constantly arguing about what's getting played on the car speakers, try to find a bunch of CDs that you can both agree that you'd listen to, and use those for the car rides. That way you won't have to argue over who's got control of the stereo or whether somebody's music sucks or what.
And no, the Heavenly I mentioned isn't a twee pop band ;)

You obviously didn't read my post entirely.
Sometimes there are hidden meanings.
Edit: And both of those are plenty good enough to warrant having somewhere in the depths of a large music library.
