That might improve them.

Nemba: I'm never serious about fights over music taste. Also, not gonna lie, I really like that song from Say Anything .
IN YOU EYES! The light the heat! (YOUR EYES!) I am complete! (YOUR EYES!)
Oh wet John Cusack how you have changed our lives!
Also small text takes way too long to read and Deerhoof is still awesome. Am I the only one who really likes how this thread was hijacked by Skyclad???
Misereatur:
--- Quote from: KharBevNor ---It's the crowning irony that Skyclad are actually HUGE in Europe (only Metallica outsells them in the metal category in Greece) but totally unknown in the UK. Especially as their songs make constant use of British slang and other references and tend to be about things like Thatcherism, London, Merry England and what rotters the French are (though I suppose most Europeans can get behind that one).

Unfortunately, they're not very big here, either.
I walked into the biggest (and only) metal store in israel and asked the guy behind the counter (who is, incidentally, Orphaned Land's bass player) if they have any Skyclad albums.
He replyed: "umm.. who?"
I wanted to cry.
Sorry for going off topic, go on.
KharBevNor:
Nah, I'm loving it too. Skyclad are my favourite band ever, talking about them to someone is awesome.
--- Quote from: BeoPuppy ---Something to cling to .. a positive Skyclad song. Scary shit.

Oh, come on, they're a really positive band, in my eyes. Sure, they have some real downer tracks ('The One Piece Puzzle', 'Terminus', 'Postcard From Planet Earth', the acoustic version of 'Sins of Emission', etc.) but they've also got some of the most ridiculously quirky and upbeat songs about depression, suicide, war, loathing etc. I can think of ('Building a Ruin', 'Helium', 'Fainting By Numbers', etc.) and their socio-political tracks in particular just brim with a brilliant sort of unquenchable defiance. I think I'm probably going to have "I'll party on in Acheron!" inscribed on my grave.
I mean, I'm sure part of it is the fact that the wordplay just wipes a permanent grin across my face. Also, I hate you. I would kill a thousand kittens to see Skyclad live with Martin.
