A hybrid guitar / pedal combo? I admit that this certainly sounds great, but what does everyone think of it?

My fear:

It's friday night,
You're in mid-gig,
The fancy electronics short out,
Do you have a spare?

Oops.

I like to live dangerously. Seems like a good idea.

The tackiest thing in the world has to be this though

My thoughts exactly. If you want a swiss army knife guitar like that, save up a fortune and buy a Parker Fly Deluxe. I wouldn't trust the electronics in this one to be all that terribly reliable.

As for me; would not touch it, let alone buy it. Nothing against Epi's, but that thing just has waaay too many bells and whistles to appeal to me. I'll be over here with my collection of single-pickup, single-volumeknob guitars, thank you very much.

I wouldn't trust that thing as far as I could throw it.

Pretty sure you could defeat the fancy stuff by plugging a 1/4" headphone extension jack into one of the stereo outputs. Problem solved.

Seems like another one of those 'solving a problem that doesn't exist' type deals.

That's why the VG Strat was seriously unpopular. It's why Robot guitars don't sell.

Strats and Les Pauls/SGs are using designs from the 1950s, there's a reason they're still so prominent today.
