Whats the music scene in Israel like? Only other band I know is Salem.

I'd like to think that we have a pretty good Metal scene. Betzefer signed to Roudrunner records and realesed an album there. Orphaned Land is pretty big in Europe, and realesed an album in Century Media. OL even played live in Wacken and Brutal Assult this year.
We have a lot of smaller bands, mainly death and black but some of them are pretty good. Not that innovative or avante-grade but still good.
Most of the metal scene are highschool kids though, maily because people who were into metal get into other music or just stop listening to metal during their military service.

There is a big noise/drone/power-electronics scene here. Not big in numbers, but the quality of the albums realese within the scene is really amazing.

There are several things that astonish me here.

1. The guitar tones are absolutely dead on.
2. The vocals are utterly faultless.
3. It sounds ALMOST exactly like the original, but just different enough that you know they're not miming. If you think they are, you're an asshole and you aren't paying enough attention.
4. This performance comes having stopped touring for two years. This astonishes me, no wonder the Beatles broke touring records and were the biggest band ever, they're the tightest live band to ever exist.

That Zlad song is done by some Australians who do these piss-take travel guides for fictional countries.  The Eastern European one is for Molvania, this is their Eurovision song entry.  Pretty funny, but kinda disappointed they continued with other books - surely the joke doesn't stretch that far??

If you check out some bona fide Euro disco from the 80s, it's really not so different.  I go on binges of watching this stuff.  My favourite is this one but cred points go to Giorgio Moroder and his phalanx of synths.
