I can't believe they have 3 guitars and none of them are used effectively.

Wait, sorry... I take it all back-

Melissa Manchester "Don't Cry Out Loud" with a close runner up of Eric Carmen "I Can't Live If Living is Without You".

Just read those lyrics-

Baby cried the day the circus came to town
'cause she didn't want parades just passin' by her
So she painted on a smile and took up with some clown
While she danced without a net upon the wire
I know a lot about 'er 'cause, you see
Baby is an awful lot like me

Don't cry out loud
Just keep it inside, learn how to hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall, remember you almost had it all

Baby saw that when they pulled that big top down
They left behind her dreams among the litter
The different kind of love she thought she'd found
There was nothin' left but sawdust and some glitter
But baby can't be broken 'cause you see
She had the finest teacher-that was me-I told 'er

Don't cry out loud
Just keep it inside and learn how to hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall, remember you almost had it all

Don't cry out loud
Just keep it inside and learn how to hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall, remember you almost made it

Don't cry out loud
Just keep it inside and learn how to hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall, remember you almost had it all

And I think Kai may have won for finding the shittiest band ever with Hawthorn Heights.  The video just drives the point home.  I have to say.  I love the shots of the band, with the band members who aren't the lead singer going "nuts" on their guitars in the background.  Also, the comments about how they're post-hardcore are great fun.

The comments are the best part. "Why is every1 calling them emo they are post hardcore k thx"

I know.  I get the lyrics to that Badfinger song and "All By Myself" mixed up in my head.  Generally the same melody, and both are terrible songs, but the sheer self-absorption of someone singing, passionately and sincerely,  about how he wants to be with someone just so he's not by himself is unbelievable. He can't even be said to have a shallow personality, it's more like a slick-spot. In all fairness, though, if I were Eric Carmen I wouldn't want to be left by myself either, because I'd be annoying.

I'm suprised none of us have busted out the Rap.

I guess none of us have ever had the experience with that genre of music, but I working in a kitchen deal with it every day.  I nominate the entire genre or Rap (with the exception of everything by the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and the Beastie Boys [Don't act like you don't like 'em].  Of course, I don't even think I need to mention K-Os, he has a genre all to his own.) as the worst song ever.  Mostly because it all sounds the same.

So you're nominating all rap except the shit stuff and the Beastie Boys (who are arguably more P-funk than rap anyway).  Riiight.

Radio rap is crap because radio music is crap.  Might as well say that all indie music is crap because you hear Radiohead, Coldplay, Keane and the Killers all day at work.

I wish to amend my earlier statement.

"Milkshake" wins (loses?) at sucking.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge

I know you want it,
The thing that makes me,
What the guys go crazy for.
They lose their minds,
The way I wind,
I think its time

La la-la la la,
Warm it up.
Lala-lalala,
The boys are waiting

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge

I can see youre on it,
You want me to teach thee
Techniques that freaks these boys,
It can't be bought,
Just know, thieves get caught,
Watch if your smart,

La la-la la la,
Warm it up,
La la-la la la,
The boys are waiting,

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge

Oh, once you get involved,
Everyone will look this way-so,
You must maintain your charm,
Same time maintain your halo,
Just get the perfect blend,
Plus what you have within,
Then next his eyes are squint,
Then he's picked up your scent,

Lala-lalala,
Warm it up,
Lala-lalala,
The boys are waiting,

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge

For laughably bad music, always look to japan.

Bad Dreams by the pillows is utterly nauseating. duel-lead guitars out of sync with one another playing a half-assed guitar riff, with whip, gun, and horse sound effects added in post-production.

Cold as Ice by foreigner? anyone?

Hello everyone, I'm Paul!  Now, with that introduction out of the way...

The songs you've been mentioning usually simply have a total lack of talent...however, there is as big a gap between good and lack of talent as there is between lack of talent and bad.

I nominate Vampire King by AIDS Wolf. If you can finish the song, you have my respect, as you have a strong will. If you want to feel your entire body relax and a wave of euphoria wash over you, enqueue a good mellow song, like Jacknuggeted by Manitoba, right after Vampire King.

I'm not kidding this song will you tense up and mess with your brain.

So?

Jessica Simpson is a total babe.  So are Mandy Moore, Britney Spears, and all of the Fanta girls.  I do, however, reserve the right to badmouth each and every one of them for unforgivable crimes against music.

I do not think they are TOTAL BABES though. I think they are attractive but I reserve "TOTAL BABES" for TOTAL BABES. Dig?

And I see where you're coming from but probably like a lot of people on this forum the music comes first and the image comes second for me. And I like Kelis' material - that which I've heard, anyhow. So the TOTAL BABEness of her is just an added bonus.

I think Piva and Dahv are tied for first.  I have to say -- they even make "milkshake" sound good.

Call me masochistic, but I scrolled through a couple of Dahv's songs just to see if the "Mean Girls" one was an isolated case of satire, and this is what I came up with:

Pass the Shirley Temple
Won't you pass the Shirley Temple
It's red
It's strong
And it make my brain go zing-a-zing zong

...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go trepan myself with a Desert Eagle.

In an interview at BET.com, Kelis says that a woman’s milkshake is not (as many people might think) a specific reference to breasts, but is “that thing that makes a woman stand out from everyone else. It's a thing that makes you sensual and warm and maternal.”

Was it from BET.com? Because that's fairly convincing.

LT United - We Are The Winners
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm0aVYnzFN4&search=eurovision%20we%20are%20the%20winner

For those of you not familiar with the Eurovision Song Contest, it's an annual competition for the countries of Europe to put in their worst form of Europop. This was Lithuania's entry this year.

Or, if that isn't bad enough... take a look at the UK's entry this year...

It's hilariously bad.

When I asked my doctor why it hurt when I urinate, he pointed out that my penis was on fire.  I guess that's why he's the doctor.

No. It was from Q. Since the Q magazine was a direct interview, I'm guessing whatever BET.com is (I have no idea if you were being ironic in saying it was convincing), they pilfered it.
