Can you hear me Major Tom?
« on: 19 Aug 2006, 10:14 »

Iv'e been working on this in my design class, our assignment was to design a classic rock poster, well at least what bands our teacher liked, and I got David Bowie.

Comments and ideas? This is our first project and I want it to rock.( Though it's not as impressive as a phonograh made out of legos.)

CRAFTS PEOPLE.
THIS IS THE ARTS AND CRAFTS FORUMS, NOT THE DRAWINGS AND DIGITAL THINGY.

That said, it's quite nice. Fill that big empty space in the middle/top.

Just to adress this: The titles are a little misleading. The "Comics and Drawings" forum lends one to believe it's for comicy drawings, whereas this one is for "Arts and Crafts.

The biggest problem is the empty space on the lower left hand side of the poster. You need to fill that space a bit more.. perhaps shifting one of the images further to the left or placing another one in; otherwise it's just off balance to the eye... while the white at the top right does help a little.
I think once you have the text added in it will look a lot better as well.

I think the background looked better black in white, but that it would be best with a darker color instead of purple.

The elements are too seperate from each other. Try posterising the bowie photos.

I have to have some elements of  colour in it for the grade, but I will take a look at the posterising...
