Hi everyone....this is my first post ever but this place looked like a good place to get some opinions on my work
I haven't made any series or anyting, just single panel scenes but yeah, what do you think??

I tried to have a look at what you had up but I forgot that you have to log in to MySpace to check out anything interesting.  Given that I forgot my password since I don't use MS at all, I eventually gave up trying to access your stuff.

Overdue Karma has been aronud for a few months as an article/social commentary site, and just this month we've started doing a weekly comic.  There are only two strips thus far, but they most definitely DON'T suck.

Also, I know this is my first post, but I swear I'm not just spamming.  I will try to become a valued member of this community.  Eventually.

I agree completely, your artwork is awesome. On top of that the story is engaging and well paced. I'm looking forward to the next page. Keep up the good work!   :-D

Wow.  Thanks for checking out my comic.  It's my first try at sequential art, so I know it has some major weaknesses, but I'm excited about the story concept, and I'm having a blast drawiing it.

I like your style Splintered, kind of reminds me of J Scott Campbell.  Your artwork's definitely got some high-quality appeal and I'll be checking back on it regularly.  Freakin' awesome dude!

So I'm pimping my sister's webcomic, because, one, she's my sister, two, she's an amazing artist, and three, I will be a small part later. possibly XD

ANYWAY, it's really funny, or it's getting there. They(my sister and the chick who writes it) are very new at this.

Positive feedback is so HOT.  Thanks for your readership.  We're only going to get better.  I'm learning about photography, photoshop and the basic principles of comic design as I go, and as my actors get more comfortable on camera, we should be able to go places.  Also, we'll be exploring more and more of iconic Portland, so that will be fun.  Expect the camera shot to get crisper and awesomer, the filters to get smoother, and the space around the speech bubbles more uniform.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND FEEDBACK!

I recognize that there's probably a lot of myspace hate on this forum, or maybe just hate for Rupert, but for those who aren't haters, my comic now has a myspace page.  Friend us with your comic, or with your personal profile.  Also feel free to check out the profiles of the cast, most of whom maintain their own myspace pages.

Updates have been random recently, what with being in school and all, but I'm keeping my web comic alive over at <a href="http://blog.myspace.com/boondock_city" target="_blank">http://blog.myspace.com/boondock_city.  And actually, last Tuesday marked the one-year anniversary since I launched it.  The MySpace account has "season two" and up.  For the complete list of episodes, head for <a href="http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/boondock_city/Season%20One/" target="_blank">http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/boondock_city/Season%20One/ for season one, and <a href="http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/boondock_city/Season%20Two/" target="_blank">http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/boondock_city/Season%20Two/ for season two.

I've actually never used halftones. You're probably referring to a few strips where I used really thin lines, which look grey when the strip is re-sized and saved as a gif.

In any event, thanks for the comments.

How about "plug the significant other's comic for them"?  Husband vents his very angry insides with comics instead of murdering.  He's been updating every weekday for about a year now, and he's started the last few months to play with actual storylines.  He also recently added a music section to his site.

hello!  this looks like where i wanna post.

I do a webcomic called Left-Handed Toons with my pal, Justin.  We alternate posting cartoons, and I think the mix works well.

The idea is, we're both right-handed, and everything on the site is drawn with our left hands, so it's fun.  Try it.

Here's my low-brow, vulgar web comic called CHATTERS. It's about a bunch of chatters who met up on the internet and have remained friends (roughly based on friends in my life). I'm what you call a casual web comic artist haha. So I don't post up strips that very often (though I really should).

I hope it's OK to plug a collective here.

Intravenous Comics, a collective I helped found, launched this past Thursday.  Member comics are Steve and Mac, Treading Ground, Brink, Institute of Metaphysics, One-liners, and Lucid TV.

The last two have been plugged in this thread, and were well received.

We also have a sample page to help new readers if our comics are worth reading or not.

*shrug* It's not much, but it is a comic, and I guess I should see if anyone is interested. I was drawing it, but I'm SOOOOOO slow at drawing comic style (I'm more of a painter and sculptor), so my niece has just started drawing for me. I have faith she'll improve. Couldn't find another artist (mostly didn't know where to look and didn't wanna spam anyone with it), and didn't wanna give up the idea.

I mostly liked your comic Matt,
though I read some of your news posts and thought you kind of contradicted yourself when you said "They say stupid things, laugh in a stupid way, and generally act like a complete moron. I've heard the phrases that it's so stupid it's funny before. I've never understood it.", yet some of your jokes are based on the stupidity of your characters, so you must understand that o.o

Also, while I'm not a big fan of popular topic-based ridicule humor, I know tons of people are, and what you do with it is really good.

This is the kind of stuff I'd expect to see running in a newspaper.
