I downloaded it last night, but I totally don't have time to listen to it until tomorrow! I'll do it ASAP though.

I couldn't be arsed. WinRar doesn't have a graphical interface in OSX and so it's all ridiculous coding garbage. I haven't found another program to help me out.

Okay, I got the album Kai uploaded. Darling, you sent a track from this album once before! I liked it.
Upon first listen, it's the most refreshing album I've heard in weeks. It makes me feel like doing that 'punching the air' dance. I bet they'd be fun live. This is a perfectly good band. I'm liking it immensely. I'll talk a little more once I've worn it out a little.
During the slower moments, it's not as interesting. They need to just jump right in there and rock your face off, because those parts are the best bits by far.

Edit: This thread is a little dead aye? Maybe we should buzz emails around to circle to remind eachother about it and check who's still in?

they're a band from around here. They put on a great live show.

And I agree; when the album slows down 4 or 5 songs in I start losing interest. But for their first album I think they have alot of promise anyways.

This is a debut? I can see it going one of two ways. They'll either take the quieter root and have a weak sophomore, of they'll rock the fuck out and the second album will kick the shit out of everything. I do hear some potential.
Do they have an EP? I'll bet it's good if they do.

They have two EPs and this, I think. I only have one of the EPs. It's more of the softer stuff, so they've been slowly moving towards 'rock the fuck out' mode.  Which is where I think they're headed, anyways.

Still on the subject of Catapult Calypso, Post Scarcity Sing-a-long is my favourite track so far, save for one thing. The keys. I can't figure it out, I just ain't too fond of the keys on this album. There's something about them that slows the whole thing down. Even the faster tracks feel slower when you can hear the keys loud in the mix. Still makes me wanna punch the sky sometimes though.
I found the first part of 'nothing else is the real thing' kinda boring. But that song really gets going near the end.
I'm soulseeking all the broken links, but I do have Kieffer's upload to listen to.

quieter root

On topic, the "rock the fuck out" direction is my hope because I think they'd be pretty rad with it.

Yeah, in music, it's not 'route' like a path you would take, music grows like plants and stuff, hence 'Root'.

Guys, I think that the 'talk' part of this thread would work so much better in real time, for that purpose, I recommend you add my msn (listed in my profile) and ask what I think of each current album at least once, obviously I'll ask what you think too. You can't (shouldn't) post like you're having a conversation  and talking about music like this really has to be spontaneous, at least at first.
Also, Darling's album has been up on it's own for about a week now. Just thought I'd bring that up.
