help figuring out an electronic genre
« on: 31 Mar 2007, 16:20 »

Hey all, please forgive my ignorance on the subject, I'm usually content is listening to my very limited selection of music.  However, I decided I really like a certain type of electronic, but have no idea what genre is actually is.  The only two pieces I've heard that are like this (and they may not even be the same genre, but they seem similar to me >.>) are Marilyn Manson's "Everlasting Cocksucker," and the music during the Celebrating Humanity scene in Matrix Reloaded.  I'd try and describe them, but my descriptive ability with music really sucks.
Can anyone help me out here?

I don't think it's Electro Shitcore. I was thinking maybe... Modern Cockcore Electronica? Why would you want to listen to any music that might remind you of Keanu Reeves' naked ass?

Modern Cockcore Electronica

That sounds too much like the genre of my band, Ambient Cockcore, which I happen to be very proud of.

In my mind 'ambient' and 'cockcore' are like oil and waterthe inverse of oil. I cannot imagine what that might sound like.

There probably isn't a recognised one, but you can guess what it'll sound like; faster and louder, angrier cock rock.

It is dirty haikus read over slowcore/post-rock.

I am making this up as I go along, bear with me.
