After a quick look over of the hellcat roster, I would say Rancid is worth a shit.  Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros are definitely worth a shit, but I'm not sure the dead should be included.  I would agree that Dropkick has been middle of the road since McColgan left the group.

I forgot about Joe Strummer who deserved way better than Hellcat.  But no member of Rancid has done anything minimally positive for music since 1995.  Have we forgotten Tim Armstrong's recent sins in The Transplants?

Worth a shit= kind of backhanded praise

Actually I like the Slackers.  It wasn't meant to be backhanded.  I was just saying that nobody else on Hellcat has done anything as good.  I was corrected because Joe Strummer and the Messacaleros were a pretty good band.

I wasn't addressing you in my last post, I was explaining myself.  I'm not arguing with you.

No, The Slackers and Joe Strummer and the Mesacalleros.  I refuse to listen to anything else.  I used to be a huge Rancid and Dropkick fan a few years ago but, I've realized everything on Hellcat sounds the same.

And, yes, I am comfortable being closed-minded to Hellcat records!  They've taken too much of my money for bad music!

The aggrolites are odd live. Saw them open for dropkick in march.

Cake is in no way shape or form a ska band.  Just because you have horns doesn't make you ska.

Oh man.  You are so not ska with your out-of-date jargon and your crooning about prostitutes.  Those things don't make you ska.

I'm not as huge of a ska guy as I used to be, but I still listen to Reel Big Fish, The Aquabats, and Sublime on a somewhat regular basis.

If you haven't already, look into those guys.
