Perfect musical taste? You can't be serious!
Long time ago I listened to Punk. I mean, real Punk, not something like Pink-Punk, you know. Then I learned about Ska. While listening to Ska Punk just got boring and so I stopped hearing it, but I didn't think that it was "bad music". Inbetween I got to know QC and by that I came to Twee, which is just awesome, but it got boring with time. Later, from Ska, I came to Dub and Reggea, what is what I'm listening now, while Ska just became to aggressive for my ears - while it isn't bad music. It's just not, what I want to have in music. I'm not listening to music because it is "good music" but because it makes me feel what I want to feel, when listening to music.
When you say there is something like a "perfect musical taste" you say, that there is a perfect feeling. Can't agree with that. Overwhelming happyness is as good as deep relaxation and I can't think of a way of combining those without loosing something of both. It's the same with music.
Enough about random pseudo-philosophie.
