Admittedly this is a personal preference and is what I'd say to almost anyone who asks "short/medium/long?" but I definitely think long is by far the best on you.

I like the medium photo best, but honestly I'm reacting more to your facial expression and that shirt than I am to your hair.

I like the medium look, for you. It suits your face/bone structure well, and long hair is too overdone.

I think you should make a poll on the subject. you'll probably get a more definitive answer that way.

I wish I could pull off short hair, but my face shape doesn't allow it. It looks awkward/really really bad.
So since short hair looks shitty, I'm left with long boring hair and nothing to do with it. I might want to dye it, but don't know what colour would do well..
Suggestions?

I agree. Short or medium, though all three look pretty good.

I still haven't done anything about my hair, but thanks for the suggestions a few pages back. Pretty sure I'll go to a hairdresser once I go home for Christmas, even though it's scary.

Turquoise bangs, a silly tattoo, and what look to be really big boobs.
I'm in. I don't care how skeezy it makes me sound.

Alright guys, so I am bored with my hair, it's pretty much always the same. I keep it about here because it looks really bad short, and the last time I tried to grow it out it looked like (the second pic). What should I do with it?

Keep it shorter, grow some burns and muss the top up with wax so it doesn't mold so smoothly to the shape of your head.

(well, um, there was an almost-even split between short and long so i guess i am going to go with medium.  it's a compromise!)

also, to audacity:  even if you do not want short hair, you could always try out a new haircut!  also, what kind of dyeing were you thinking of?  a natural color?  weird colors?

The hair in the second pic suits you much better. Keep growing it out, in my opinion.

Audacity: Yes, but don't get straight across bangs, I think they would make you look younger. Try some simple, sweepy bangs, like this girl's but a little bit shorter.

I like your long hair. I think you should get a few inches cut off, because going from longlong hair to short hair is not usually a good idea, no matter how badly you think you want it (trust me, I'm speaking from recent experience).

(Also whenever I see your username my brain goes "AUDACITY, BOLDNESS." It is the definition of a vocabulary word that I learned for school long ago but I don't know what word! I just know the definition.)

Guys I want to cut my hair short again.  But I want to keep my fringe, shaved sides and a crazy colour.  What is a good way to do this without looking kind of butch or stupid.  Also my hair is somewhat crazy and can get really fluffy (see photothread with my ID post to see rediculous hair all round)

This is my hair now

fringe, shaved sides and a crazy colour

The only thing I can think of that would fit would be a mohawk, but a more feminine, awesome version. (I need to find a picture to more accurately describe this, though.) Or cut your current cut into more of a 20s style bob, which would probably be the easiest and not too drastic. (But if drastic is what you're going for, totally go with a mohawk.)

This is wrong! Most girls can pull off short hair, they just haven't tried and/or got the wrong short cut!

That is true. I remember once having a conversation with someone about how short hair on girls can look really nice (I thought yes, they disagreed) and they the started referring to really ugly hairstyles (old lady perms, that sort of thing) in order to prove their point. I was just like, "well sure, ugly short hair looks ugly. Ugly long hair looks ugly too."

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, which will basically include having my hair re-blued and the sides and back of my head being shaved and having some kind of pattern shaved into my hair. Suggestions? (as to what kind of pattern)

Usually I am a fan of lots of hair, but if you promise to wear your glasses, I completely utterly vote for the buzz. That is good looks man!
I'm afraid the last one would require daily mussing-with or it would just look floppy and longish and dull.

What is a good semi-permanent hair dye? Because fuck manic panic. I have tried to dye my hair with that shit, and five attempts in the past two days, and all I've managed to dye it my tub, my sink, and the rest of my bathroom.

My hair is still very much alive, and not falling out/apart, though.

I had a mowhawk once, it was too many efforts!  Also the problem with getting a bob (which could be cute) is that the shorter my hair tends to get the more it fluffs. Like an enormous cloud (see junglewoman id).
I hate my hair so bad.

Also Emaline, I use Wakk Stain, which is by Fudge but is cheaper and works awesomely.

Sadly, I think they only beauty supply store we have around here is Sally's, and I don't think they have it(or at least I didn't see any the last time I was there). However, the owner is nice, so maybe I can talk her into ordering it for me. Hopefully. I'm completely unsatisfied with Manic Panic.
