Likely:

- Practice bass and become half decent
- Join a band (drumming or bassing) and play at least one gig (this was last year's broken resolution)
- Succesfully flirt with someone
- Moar tattoos

Slightly less likely:

- Be in a good, healthy relationship for more than 3 months
- Save money for something big
- Move out of home

Pie in the Sky

- Move to Brisbane

Likely:

Played in 2 bands, flirted a fair bit, got two tattoos, booked in for another.

Less likely:

Yes, woo! Several things, Nope. That being said, the reason I didn't was pretty cool (Started back in full-time education)

Sky-pie:

Nope, but I did visit!

This year?

I don't really do resolutions anymore, but I did decide to give myself some new year's "suggestions." I wanna learn how to DJ and maybe play some house parties, and I want to do more drugs, drink less but more often, and smoke more but not get addicted. I want to not fuck up my audio engineering course as well.

I guess I could actually throw a regular-type resolution in here. It's starting to really bug me that all the pictures I ever take that are not on the timer function (and many that are) suck. Either they are blurry or out of focus or just plain poor quality. I want to figure out enough to either fix this or determine that this is my camera and not me.

- Study tech that will help with my job.
- Learn how to use a decent music app like Ableton, Reason or both.
- Think of things to do with friends rather than waiting for them to suggest them.
- Write at least one short story in one of the settings I have created.  It can be a draft.  It can be rough.  I just need to write something.

Christ, man, good luck with that. I've written a shit-ton of music but it can take me anywhere from a week to a month to write lyrics. Shit, I've got some songs that I started last year that still don't have lyrics I'm happy with.

Yeah, that's why I want to write at least two pairs of couplets a day, whether or not they suck. Practice, for one, and eventually I'll have a huuuuge selection to choose from. It'll be like one of those books with the different eyes and noses and mouths and stuff, you just have to mix and match and find the ones that relate the best.

I think my only resolution is to stay organized. Towards the end of last year I cleaned my room really, really well and now I don't want it to get all messy again. I've kept it all neat and together since then!

guys i think it is important you all know that since resolving to start flossing i have, in fact, flossed every single day of 2008 thus far.
this probably doesn't sound too impressive but it's a huge accomplishment to me considering i have probably flossed more this month than i ever have in my entire pre-2008 life.
surely some of you share my feelings on this. flossing is hard. also, kind of a weird word once you write it a few times.

I hate flossing so much, it makes my teeth hurt for hours afterward. And this is doing it the way the dentist recommended me to. So either I'm just too sensitive, or my dentist is a sadistic bastard who gets off on other people's tooth pain, which honestly is how I've always imagined them all to be anyway,

New Years Goals 2008

1.)  Become financially stable by eradicating all current debt and being choosy about new purchases, keeping a receipt log and monthly expense report, and only eat out on weekends.
2.)  Start a Roth IRA with Mutual investments, preferably while the market is down so I can buy low.
3.)  Eat healthier, and make Michael eat healthier.
4.)  Get and utilize health insurance.
5.)  GRADUATE
6.)  Research job opportunities for people with Neuroscience/Cognitive Science degrees that make at least $75K to start.
7.)  Effectively use the semester off and enjoy not being a student for the first time since I was four.
8.)  Make ABSOLUTELY no babies and maybe get married.
9.)  Take animals to vet when they look sick, instead of using Magic Mommy Dust to cure them.

That's a lot more than I thought previously...

I like this idea, making a resolution to set yourself up.

Anyone else already fail their resolutions?
I'm already finished with mine actually:
I resolve to plan a ski trip for my fiancee and I this winter. I figure that's a good idea, and it's not like resolutions are really kept up longer than that anyway.
We went skiing over the MLK weekend. woohoo, now I can forget about trying to be a better person.
