I had an amazing save on Pokemon gold, all my pokemon were awesome, had a mew that i had ruined my pokemon blue to get using a cheat cartridge. One day the game dissapears, reappears a few months later and my sister had taken it without telling me and ruined everything. I nearly killed a man that day.....

I found Pokemon Blue under a fridge when I moved into a house, so I played it. I had cards for a while, but I gave them away to a little girl who was obsessed with them. (Most of them I'd gotten for free anyways.) I totally watched the cartoon though with the original batch. The new batch of Pokemon is LAAAAAAAAME. LAME I SAY.

Hey guys remember how the Charizard card was really hard to find?

Back in third grade I had these really tough weekly math quizes. My parents told me if I managed to get 100% on one of them, they'd buy me a pack of pokemon cards. I went for a lot of these tests just barely not getting that 100. Then one day, I managed to get a one hundred. I was so happy to get that pack of pokemon cards! They took me to the store and bought me a pack. Now in the back of my head, I was thinking of how amazing it would be to get a holographic charizard. Me and all my friends wanted one, since we thought it was the best card and it was really rare. I open the pack and start going through it. And then, the last card in the pack is a Charizard. It was fucking amazing.

When I was littler I had a weird case of hipster elitism for some reason and thought that everything that was popular was shit. Naturally in second and third grade when Pokemon was at the height of its popularity I was just like, whatever man, but one day in fifth grade I played my cousin's copy of Pokemon Gold and I was like "oh my god it's so fun" and that is when I started liking Pokemon, when everyone was already tired of it. But to this day I am sad that I do not have any danged Pokemon cards!

Also Pokemon Snap is one of the most fun games for N64 ever

I once had Pokemon Red. Took it to school one day, lost it at lunch. Found somebody else's copy behind a door on the way back to class. Kept it as mine till the end of middle school (the whole 3 years), then gave it back. I can't remember whether I decided to give it back after getting Gold or whether she found out it was me. Oh well. Long story short, we hang out every now and then after not talking to each other since middle school (8 years).

I just honestly play Pokemon games over and over again because I love developing new teams of Pokemon. Definitely the main reason that Pokemon is so popular is not because the games are so well-designed, but the actual creatures themselves are well designed and portrayed, unlike other "creature training" games with very uninteresting creatures.

For me, the desire to play the new generations really just boils down to wanting to play with new Pokemon and the new gyms.

Oh man Lunchy, I did that too!

I saved up all of my poket money and birthday money and bought a Gameboy, Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue all at once., they were the only Gameboy Games I had for so long! Good times.

Meanwhile this year Loxley bought me a DS and Pokemon Diamond just because. Best thing he ever did.
