They were outside of the barriers? I mean, they played in the middle of a suburban mall parking lot. That shit can hold a liot of people, and there were a shitload of people just sitting on the grass. Plus, since the band heard that the media were hyping the show, they naturally decided to put the barriers further from the stage.

Download festival yesterday ruled. Saw Unearth, Anathema (meh), tried hard to avoid a Day To Remember, then saw Coheed and Cambria, Them Crooked Vultures (I guess most of their set was jamming, I couldn't really tell. My friend wanted to see them) then AC/DC (ridiculous stage with a train, cannon, fireworks).

It was a long but awesome day.

Going to Siren on Coney Island this year. It's free so why the hell not. Not as good a lineup as some previous years (they had Broken Social Scene two years ago which is a tough act to follow) but Matt and Kim, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Wye Oak, and a bunch of others is nothing to scoff at I suppose.

typically it depends on the venue, but with iggy it doesn't really matter. i would just make sure to stay in the first 3-4 rows of the pit and you'll probably get up there

so, suis la lune fucking ripped as usual. didn't see the whole set but whatever, i might see em july 3rd so its all cool. they have a tour 7" of two new songs that are gonna be on the full length, might try and rip that later this week since my buddy got it. also saw pala, fair root, the wankys, lotus fucker, and the feed (local dc screamo). pala and lotus fucker ruled, fair root i missed cause i was having a conversation with the dude from protagonist records (though im not sure now since he was a baltimore dude and i think protagonist is based out of arizona, but he was also selling then new sed non satiata), and the wankys fucking blew, their guitar tone is god awful. the feed was cool as usual, but they're just a bunch of kids still.
