Johnny Foreigner were ace as usual. New album coming out in the next couple of weeks, get on that shit.

Tellison were also amazing. Also new album out in a couple of weeks, get on that shit too.

Japanese Voyeurs were pretty boring but i didn't expect much anyway so whatever.

I just went to go see Immaculate Machine on a whim (well, a friend pointed out that they were playing) and with no prior knowledge.

They were pretty good. I'm going to find their album and upload it.

I was considering going to see this before I read that High on Fire's set was only half an hour. As they're the only band on the list I was really interested in I decided to save my money for when they start touring for their upcoming album.

Seeing Mastadon and Dethklok on Saturday at the same venue my high school graduation was held in. Since I know Bryan (Dethklok's touring bass player) I'm supposed to have after show passes. I guess I'll know Saturday whether or not I actually do.

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone at the Northcote Social Club (a really nice venue very close to where I live) tomorrow night. So excited! I got into Casiotone literally, and coincidentally, about three weeks after he/they last toured Australia, so I've been looking forward to this.

Also the Decemberists are coming to Australia next year. I'm really torn about this. The tickets are pricy (around A$60) but I've been really wanting to see the Decemberists for ages. I love three out of five of their albums. BUT: I really really don't like their latest, and this being a tour on the back of their latest album odds are the set list is going to lean heavily towards songs from that. I don't really want to spend a lot of money to see a band I like playing songs I don't like. Decisions, decisions.

Trying to find out more information I checked on the venue's website, and according to that they'll "draw from their full catalogue", so I think I'll give it a shot. Even though it's at Billboard, which is far from the best venue in town for a band like the Decemberists.
