I saw a Pantera video clip last week. It came just after Sepultura, ROOOOOOOOOTS. I was pretty pumped. What struck me about the clip was that it was just them rocking out and not being overly wanky. Video clips from modern-day equivalents seem to be absolutely turgid in comparison.

Note to bands that rock out: Please do not try to pretend your music is anything other than some dudes rocking out. Rocking out is a totally legitimate thing to do. Adding extra layers of pretension kind of kills it.

Also, did anyone notice that Drowning Pool's "Bodies" is basically a straight rip of Sepultura's "Roots"? (I mean, in addition to being a shitty song) someone else has to have thought this, I mean, both songs are from ages ago.
