So I got up at 3AM after a long sleep because the pattern in which I sleep is silly, start cutting up bottles for the arm bits to be optimus prime, red teeshirt, red and blue poster paints, cutting bottles with a letter opener craft knife thingy when it slips.

Is now 6.37 in the morning and I spent the last 2 hours in A&E

IT WON'T STOP BLEEDING

I took a sheet of skin off my finger, not even just a ut but I remove a significant amount of skin, I feel like an idiot, costume had better be worth it.

I have a pretty large beard. Pretty large beards have hindered my halloween costume plans so now I am down to zombie Jesus, zombie Rabbi or zombie lumberjack.

Is there anything else I could be going as that is pretty awesome with a beard?

On a different note does anyone know a good way to stop poster paint flaking off a drinks bottle? If I mix it with PVA to make it acrylic like paint would that help?

I kindof don't know what I want to be. It's probably going to be some kind of old-school punk rocker though because I've got my long curly blonde wig, a ridiculously abused budget-brand guitar (bonus points for spraypaint, stickers, and a missing middle pickup), torn jeans, and disgustingly worn-out black Chuck Taylors.

Alternately, I could just not dress up this year since it's way more effort than it's worth to actually dress up for Halloween when I live in Bumfuck.

I had planned to go as Dr. House, and just be moody and pop skittles from a pill bottle all night, but after 8 margaritas and a trip to Target, my friends and I decided to theme it up.

So now I'm going as Sir Topemhat, and the two of them have children sized Thomas the Tank engine costumes. At least I get a whistle.

I am going to Manda's party, and I have finally gotten shit together for the boy and I to be Peter and Lois from Family Guy. There are a few sewing alterations to be done, but I got complete costumes for both of us for like $27 at Goodwill. I'm going to dye my hair red too. Photos once it's all done.
Meanwhile, we are working at a haunted trail this month. But since we are not actors, but technicians who sit very still in the woods and push buttons, we just bundle up. I look absurd once I'm all dressed - XL flannel pajamas over my jeans, the other night I had two hats on, etc - but at least I'm warm.

I was considering being lipstick on a pitbull, but i have no idea how to be a pitbull, other than, like, going around biting people. But then of course my lipstick would get smudged!

Now I want to be a ninja to go with a friend who was going to be a pirate (yeah, I know I'm late), but she wants us to go as Betty and Veronica (um... way late?), since she's blonde and I'm a brunette.

...or we could just go with a few other friends as Greek gods and goddesses, which might be more appreciated if we go to the university president's house at the beginning of the night to trick or treat. (He and his wife live in the woods and give out cookies! It's adorable.)

I will be joining the fencing club's halloween pub crawl dressed as some kind of demon/zombie/reaver fencer. I have a mask and jacket and glove to mutilate in some ingenious ways, and i'll scatter blood and paint my face under the bits of the mask I rip. Perhaps there will be some kind of sword accessory.

This year my friends and I are doing a Batman villain themed Halloween. I'll be going as Harley Quinn, my boyfriend as the Joker, and then we have a Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and possibly a Penguin, Two-face, and Riddler. It should be quite awesome.

Next year, we're planning as either going as characters from One Piece or Mario Party characters.

I hate that I have to go out of town for a wedding on Halloween. Well the wedding is the day after, but in order to be there on time we have to drive down Friday night. I suppose I could always follow the zombie trend. It seems like something I can do without much of a costume...

I just want to know WHY THE HELL they had to make their stupid wedding on the day after halloween... I don't even know the people getting married... they are my boyfriend's extended family and his car has no tag at the moment so I am stuck driving. /grumblegrump

Two bands I really like, Shellac and Les Savy Fav, are playing over Halloween, but tickets are a bit steep so I decided to head for cheaper venues: gothic country on Thursday, and I might go to Dead and Buried on Friday. Saturday my friends are having a party, which will be absolute wank.

Don't really have any costumes, but in the past I've gone as a "cereal killer" wielding an empty box and a fake knife. :/
