Lit. They have to be given credit for putting a robot with a mullet in a music video though.

I love Cheesy things. Martial Arts/sci-fi movies, slapstick humor, hair/power metal, so I really can't tell if GWAR is bad  because I love them so fucking much, but if they are, they need a mention.

Panic(!) At The Disco no one seems to talk about anymore, which I suppose is for the better

No.

People still talk about them.

People that make me twitch.

Panic at the Disco reminds me of this dude who tried to feel me up in high school.

I like gay guys, but there's something about personal space and keeping my pants zipped that makes me not want to listen to Panic at the Disco.

And I love gay guys but I do not love non-gays making out with each other to get attention, espescially from a certain type of girl.

Panic at the Disco remind me quite a lot of the latter.

Dubstep is certainly misunderstood because most people have only heard it through their laptop speakers completely sober.

I say that as someone who's never been to a dubstep party. I see how it'd be a cool place though.

Remember these guys?

Chevelle. That one nu-metal band that was famous for a bit. They ended up being pretty unmemorable, and their better moments sounded like a low-rent version of Hum. According to their ex-bassist, the other two members (who were also his brothers) kicked him out, and that was pretty not rad.

nonpoint WAS good.

to the pain SUCKED.

Actually about 7 or 8 bands on that page ARE AWESOME.

I mean, try to not laugh hysterically while listening to primer 55's first album.

with lyrics like
"here i come with the new style kick it,
yo i just cant help it cuz' I'm so damn wicked.
insane in the brain, with a mind like cujo.
you betta' run cuz' I'm 'bout to go loco."

^ a true lyrical genius...

but anyways. mushroomhead, american head charge and dry kill logic are all pretty awesome, skilled bands.

even if they sound drunk and mildly retarded.

i think thats the point.

Their first album I think actually has a decent song or two on it, I think. However, everything else they have done is donkey piss.

Music I'd like time to swallow whole ...

There was this time, when I was young, that I watched Headbanger's Ball. And in those days that show was filled with horrible, horrible bands ... and the occassional great video. So, I had to watch hours and hours of Warrant, White Lion, WASP, Motley Crue, Cinderella, Poison, The Cult, Quireboys, Dogs'd'amour, LA Guns, Faster Pussycats, Aerosmith in order for there to be one half decent track by CoF, Morbid Angel, Sepultura ...

So, in short: I want those band forgotten and I want that time spent waiting back right the fuck now.

In addition: to whosoever wrote the lyrics to When the children cry ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuWl05FeS9k ) ... I wish you papercuts. Loads of them.

Well in Jamaica we haven't had a sound play dubstep since I was little. You can probably get one like Renaissance Disco or Stone Love to play that stuff, but... Yeah. I don't think anyone down here actually listens to the stuff, ironically.

None of those hair metal bands are all that awful. Unbelievably tacky (I'm sure there was a degree of self-awareness in that, though) and lacking creativity but shit I will listen to them over the rest of the stuff in this thread any day.

In fact L.A. Guns are fucking solid.

Motley Crue are definite proof that this is an unfair universe by virtue of the fact that they did not manage to die from overdoses and so many great artists did. But that is a different discussion.

Also: I think my remarks need to be taken into context. Yes, maybe, these bands did create some okay music (emphasis on 'some') but the godawful wading through maybe, sometimes, sort of okay glam and rock tracks before something cool came on just ruined their music.

Also, Monaco. Anyone remember Monaco?

Given that dubstep was invented in 2000/2001, in London, I think you are possibly confusing your genres?
