Boy, I hope so. My biggest problem isn't the color, it's how damn scraggly it is.

Well Jeph did tweet awhile back that in his head Dora looked a bit like this picture: http://80.237.157.40/dma-site/images/stories/Nominierte_2006/Best_Djane/ellen%20allien.jpg and tbqh that girl's hair is equally as scraggly as Dora's.

Not that I completely hate the new look. I think it suit her better than the short all black 'do. As for when it finally turns all blond, however, that I can't get behind quite as much.

I like how people try to apply human hair growth rates to comic characters.

Actually... no, no I don't. It's sad. Oh well.

Mahten! You have ta geht ta mahs! Staht... da reactah!

Hilarious.

I could totally get behind the anthropomorphic robots, characters who grew up in space, and superheroes on transforming Vespas but hair that grows a foot in six weeks JEPH YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR.

Wow, QC is really picking up. These last three strips were all win, I can't remember such consistency in the last couple of hundred strips. I mean, it's always been good, but now it's GREAT.  Also the art is so improved from the early days, I love how he's playing more with perspective and such. I do wonder if drawing snowy strips will get old for Jeph. But most of the shots are interior anyway, so maybe that doesn't matter.

and also I think that dora dyed her roots out blonde so as she could return to her natural color with a beautiful period of contrast and bicolor in betweentimes.

I am still in full approval of her current bicolor state of ah-hairs.
Oh yeah, why doesn't Dora just dye her hair to a similar tone to her own?  No shaved heads or unpreferred bi-color hair.
You ever tried dying your hair from black to blonde? It's a nightmare.

Did he ever specifiy the time-gap between 1310 and 1311? Afaik he didn't.
Debating over it on the base of character development and growing-rates is splitting hairs imo. Pun intended, hurrrrr.

Couldn't care less when the strips have been freshened up by it in such a great way, let's agree on that. =)

the clearest sign that alot of time has progressed int eh QC universe is simply, Faye wasn't the least bit surprised when she entered the CoD. This indicates Dora had been allowing the hair to gradually grow out.

He said he was going to have a change of season.  That would suggest three (autumn->winter) to six (summer->winter) months.

I guess I'd know that if I followed his Twitter. But, alas. Well I guess everyone can't have a thick head of hair like Penelope. And it is nice to see some long hair again. It'll grow on me I guess.

Correct me if I'm seeing things...but does Marten's lower half look kind of girlish in panel 2? I dunno, that's just the impression I get...
Well, my body has pretty much the same shape as Marten's. We two are just thin ;)

Now I know how Austrians speak English, that's funny (I am German, by the way. QC really taught me some contemporary English!)

I think we'll get more information about things that have gone on during the time-shift as more comics are posted.  I'm sure it's not going to be "everything is exactly the same except for Dora's hair."

Person who's all "yay natural hair" can bite me - I cannot describe the depths of loathing I have for having my hair natural coloured. The colour is fine, I like it on other people, but I cannot leave it alone! *twitch*

And I guess I may as well comment that I like the two-tone. There. And the Arnie strip amused me. Lots. Yay QC.

I am definitely interested in seeing just how much has changed in this time shft

Is Will ever going to return or will her disappear without a trace?
Will Penelope become a vengeance seeking biker vigilante if he does?
Have Dora and Marten broken up or is he going to propose at last?
Are Sven and Steve a regular couple now?
Has Tai finally seduced Hanners and they're now living together?

OK, speculation aside, I'm loving the way things seem to be going at this point.

Hanners!  :-(

I wonder if she is drunk, has been cleaning something...well, kind of stinky or both.

On the whole hair thing, her hair looks pretty much the same so maybe it was just Dora who got a major change. It had been a while since we last saw her, so I went back a few strips and I had forgot that Dora said she was going to grow out her hair. It is like Jacques planned this thing or something.

what is pintsize saying in the last panel of 1312? :?

He's going for a schwarzenegger accent, saying "Martin, you have to get to Mars, start the reactor!"  It's a parody of the arnold flick Total Recall (which had a mutated guy in it who had a second head/face growing out of his stomach).  Marten's annoyance is due to pintsize applying the austrian accent to the wrong character.

The best part of the movie is the chick with 3 boobs though.  I musta freezeframed that section of my vhs so many.... nevermind.

my favorite part was the little hooker (about 2-2.5 feet).
At one point she jumps up on the bar and takes a machine gun to some attackers.

Also, since when was Hanners a whale-tail kinda girl? Because I see thong straps.

I just love that everybody assumes that Hannelore is drunk or high on the fumes of cleaning agents.  Whenever Jeph draws drunk, they are WAAAY more giddy and functional looking.  None of the drunken people looked like that.  and did all you people forget that HE CHANGED THE SEASON TO FUCKING COLD!?!?!?!?  sorry about that.

Dora's hair: length fine, two colours fine, but it just does not seem to look right (a tad bulbous on top) except in the second last panel... it will be interesting to see what style it settles into...
Wil-Penelope temporary fix = hilarity.
Twitter regarding the improvement in drawing over the last 6-7 months = true.
Poor Marten, with his indie-rock-physique. He'll be flattened.
Those are not thong straps, they're just the edges of underwear - jeans are flat across the top, underwear dip slightly in the middle, a shallow curve.

Mmhmm, that is the line exactly. Usually preceded by a "buggrit!" or two. But the most I can find is in Soul Music when the invisible people are passing the bottle (actually half a tin) around under the bridge. I guess he really is just more crazy. But in an awesome way.

Haha, and Pompey, I tend to do that quite often, so I understand.
