I, for one, welcome our new undead comic artist.

Look forward to seeing his first strip.

I wonder if anyone following Gunnerkrigg Court besides me expected Yelling Bird to put in a bloody appearance.

And the cycle of Steve's love life goes on.

Flash-forward two hundred strips later, Steve's back in a bar somewhere, rockin' the drunk beard and recreating episodes of The Muppet Show with shotglasses.

I'm guessing, anyway.

That poster behind Steve's head in the first panel kinda makes it look like he's wearing a goofy crown-hat that says "BAD." Which is sorta appropriate, I guess.

Though it's still not as funny as that one a while back where a distant windowsill lined up with Sven's open mouth so it looked like he had a weird rectangular moustache.  :-D
Edit: ...and I just hit the Random button, once, and that exact comic popped up. Er...

Dude her name is "Tortura."
Why would she not be an extremely cut up lady?

Oh, and this is highly amusing.

But you can't say with absolute certainty that it's not kinky.

Actually, that's not  a bad look for Sven.

On other fronts, how is Tortura not Tortura, TheReaper?

I'd also like to add that we still don't know if the whole thing isn't roleplaying combined with vast amounts of alcohol. Which does not mean that Steve is not a kinkmiester.

Very nice perspective 'shot' in the last panel.

Too bad Tortura has to go into hiding. She would make an... interesting... addition to the gang. I mean, we already have a girl who was raised on a space station, so Tortura fit in pretty well.

Lol!

"Do svidaniya" is actually a russian phrase that, simply, means "goodbye."  However, Mr. Google thinks it has any number of variations - "Goodbye forever," "See you later," etc.

p.s. Jeph - what does the Cyrillic phrase in Tortura's speech bubble mean?  Thanks!  Keep up the amazing work!

It's pronounced "Privyet". Basically just means "Hi." Svidanya on its own means visit, appointment, or date.

Well, wherever Ms. T is going, my money says her first stop is a plastic surgeon. Otherwise, that scar is simply screaming "Hey, target. TARGET!"

Unless, of course, she's already been 'done' and that's a fake scar; hence the wrong side. Which means she braved death to see Steve.

Insane, that woman.
