Or 1100; or 715; or even the day Hanners was first seen!.

That is not Hanners. That is Hannelore, who was mysteriously replaced with the pod-person Hanners some time before this strip. Hannelore's last appearance can be found here. I suspect the Roomba is involved in the conspiracy, since it was present in her last storyarc.

I have a conspiracy theory...so wild and unbelievable it just might be true!  Here it is:

What if Hannelore...

...and Hanners...

...are the same person!

I know it sounds crazy, but that's what they said about the moon landing being fake, and, well, we all know how that worked out.

Or perhaps Hannelore…

…and Hanners…

…are, as Colin Hay put it, "one person who feels good to be alive."

by which he, and I, mean multiple personalities.

(Why…

…by the way…

*whoosh*

I wasn't talking about the name, but rather the sudden and drastic shift in characterization. And hair. Especially the hair [cutting it short earlier didn't count since that was an actual action instead of a mysterious shift]

Hannelore (aka Hanners) changed her OCD meds a while back.  She mentioned it in the strip.  Whatever the change was, it can be the reason why her personality is so different now.

In 1408, second panel, there is a passer by.  She seems unnecessary to the strip, so I suspect it's a cameo of someone - any idea who?

I have a theory re our socks:

point 1: Who here is not represented by a sock puppet?
point 2: Who has a history of reacting to breakups with Tequila fueled hallucinations?
point 3: Who just shared a passionate goodbye kiss with a certain scarred Russian hotski in the previous episode?

Conclusion: Steve is not taking Tortura's departure very well at all!

That actually sounds pretty logical. Well, for an internet discussion on a web comic about sock puppets based on the characters in said web comic.

If it IS true.. I wonder then why would Steve imagine Raven as a fap sock? :P

I totally imagined Marten's last speech bubble in Yahtzee's voice. Especially the last three words. Sounds like something he'd say. Not just because it's sarcastic, there's a specific wording...

If it was just because of the sarcasm, all of the characters would talk like a cranky man with an English accent 95% of the time, which would be... disturbing, to say the least.

The way I see it, as long as the water in that fall is blue, it's all good. As for flexing in front of a stufffed bear ... well ... there's no help for him there. He's either furry, into bears (the big hairy man kind, not the animal) or he likes to kill animals and pose shirtless with their carcasses ... which is just icky.

Of course, Tai might simply be disturbed by the sight of Steve's manliness in full bloom.

he likes to kill animals and pose shirtless with their carcasses ... which is just icky.
I have thought of four different responses to this, and each one disturbs me more about myself than the last one. Thank you.

And Tai becomes a switch hitter, but only if there is a stuffed bear in the room.

Or she's simply disturbed that Steve is carrying wallet sized cheesecake photos of himself for distribution.  I know if any of my friends did that I'd be creeped out.

The sad thing is the joke wasn't bad originally, but the rules say that if you explain a joke it retroactively becomes bad. If he'd waited for the "OH LOL I GET IT" moment he would have been fine.

A likely candidate is bad pickup lines used on the baristas.
