The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
« on: 19 Aug 2009, 21:18 »

Everything about this film seems AWESOME. Terry Gilliam, Heth Ledger, Johnny Depp whats really not to like.

Zombie Heath Ledger might not be the best of actors.

Also Tom Waits as The Devil sounds awesome

I had kind of shrugged off this film a little bit, didn't think it would be any good and I actually ignored the trailer for a little bit.

Now I feel like an idiot.  That trailer looked amazing, I cannot wait for this.

Kinda makes me sad knowing this is the last film from Heth Ledger. He only got better as years went by and I would have really like to see what else he could of amazed me with.

I'm a huge Gilliam fan, and that has made me VERY worried about this movie for probably about a year and a half now.  Fortunately, it's popularity is picking up so it might actually get released.

I try to forget about it.  I think I've succeeded in forgetting just about everything.  Except that it had Monica Bellucci and was absolutely horrible.  There was also a gingerbread man......right?

Amusingly, one of my ex's loved that movie.  She was a great girl, but had frequently terrible taste in things (especially boyfriends).

Here's the Wikipedia page

Certainly not the best film of anyone involved, but I enjoyed it for what it was.

A little wiki surfing later, I discovered that the screenwriter went to the same high school that Dave Grohl and I went to (Dave Grohl transferred after his sophomore year).

Thanks for posting the trailer for this film. I'd heard about this movie back when Ledger passed away but hadn't revisited it since then. It looks fucking rad.

Looks OK. I'll probably see it but the trailer didn't do much for me to be honest. It looks a tad garish, like the CG stuff was taken too far perhaps.
