Though I haven't heard it in several years, I remember falling in love with that Postal Service album and thinking it was absolutely incredible. Pure unadulterated pop music full of charm and some of the catchiest, most accessible, instantly gratifying music I've ever heard. I'd probably nominate it on these things alone.

I'm really, really, REALLY surprised I've seen so many people put down as Merriweather Post Pavillion on this list. I get putting Animal Collective on your list but that album was no where near their best. Either way, here is mine:

I kind of wanted to go forward as the character of the absent, well-intentioned, but kind of just goes along with it President to to the complete asshole of a Vice President (think the Bush presidency), but it might be more fun to go it as the young, intent on running this thing right President to the can't keep his fucking mouth shut Vice President (like the Obama presidency!)
