I do not think he was trying to draw him with food in his mouth... it makes sense that he would have swallowed that bite he took previously. I think it was just a slight over-extension of the jaw. I actually did not notice it until you pointed it out and now I cannot stop noticing it. Damn you!

I do not. It's good that she's not being a bitch to her friends (or at least who certain people perceive to be friends) and instead directs anger towards the hippies across the street. Nice Faye > Mean Faye.

I agree that is does not make sense... but that does not mean I do not like Sven better than Angus. Perhaps it is because he was never aloof and then learned a lesson, we are still waiting to see his big flaw. Most of the characters are generally reasonable except for that one thing that is their flaw.
Marten: sometimes a bit of a pussy
Dora: incredibly insecure
Faye: violent/unpredictable
Hanners: ocd freakouts

Sven is a major manwhore, but he always knew this, and up until Faye it never got in the way of his happiness. Now he is learning. With Angus, I guess he is mostly just a bit whiny. Oh and then there was that time he drank real milk and had gastrointestinal horror all over their COD bathroom.

20 seconds of nose scrunching, mouth open, laughing-through-nose set aside, that's a funny ass memory. xD

I've personally noted that the QC characters in general seem bulkier/wider. Just 200 strips ago everyone was skinny. You'll especially notice the difference with Marigold and Faye.

It's also good to see the bearmonster shirt being brought back.

Interesting slant - all Sven's negatives, all Angus' positives.

Both Sven and Angus are intelligent and funny. "Does not give up easily" can be a positive or negative trait. In this case it's "does not give up easily even when the girl repeatedly told you she wasn't interested". How is Sven skill-less? Sven's abiding fault is having had the world too easy, and not caring enough about any female in particular to say no to the next bit of ass which came along. For which habit he's been justly served. Sven is interesting because he made a journey - I wouldn't have liked it at all if Faye became his doormat. I like that he's suffered a slap in the face from the cold wet towel of regret. I'd _prefer_ a positive ending, but the story doesn't need Sven and Faye together for their relationship to have caused positive developments to both parties, and for Sven to be a better, likeable person as a result.

I dislike Angus for how he was introduced. "Hi - I come to this coffee shop because I get off on your insults. No, I mean, really get off. I'm practically coming in my pants here."

Yeah, an exaggeration, but that appeared to be what was being implied, and it slimed him over with such a layer of ick that his current portrayal does nothing to wash him clean. As for his current portrayal: well, he's kind of boring. Now that everyone appears to have forgotten his masochistic early appearances, he doesn't appear to have any faults, any abiding interests, anything ... I give him props for being nice to Marigold, but at the same time, he's such a friend to Marigold that it takes Faye, Hanners, Dora etc to actually get Marigold out and socialising.

Marigold is way more interesting.

Ok.

I think Angus is getting slagged for stuff that he's not actually guilty of. When he was first introduced, he was presented as "argument guy" he didn't even have a name. And yes, he was annoying, but he has never been creepy stalker dude. On the other hand, Hanners, who actually WAS stalking Marten is cute little OCD girl, and is loved by everyone, cast and fan alike.

Which brings us to Sven. Sven is a fucking, shit-eating douchebag asshole. It doesn't matter if he's attractive, and never had to be considerate of other peoples fellings to get laid, he's an asshole. Faye told Sven that she would end their arrangement if he went with someone else and what did he do? That's right, he broke that limit the first time an oppurtunity presented itself. He knew it was wrong, (you see, the Author, through use of the thought bubble, chose to let the Audience, us, know what Sven was thinking when he was banging Gina) he knew Faye would be upset, he knew she wouldn't sleep with him after that, yet he did it anyway. Faye's feelings, and whatever arangement they had, was not worth giving up a random one night stand. The only part of Sven's behavior that's remotely admirable is that he Told on himself, but only after Lydia threatened to do it anyway. That doesn't change the fact that he was wrong.

Sven is a cad, and Angus is getting slagged because he's not Sven.

Has Angus ever hit on Faye at CoD? No. He has flirted with her, but that's not the same thing. He did hit on her at the bar ONE TIME and she threw him across the room. Did Faye tell him to never come to CoD again? NO. Did she ask him to stop flirting with her? NO. Did he hit on her after the bar episode? NO. He even had a relationship with someone else and stopped coming to CoD ON HIS OWN. And this isn't even taking into account that all of this happened A WHILE AGO! Not only in real time, but in comic time as well.

The point I'm trying to make is this: Faye seems to be able to tolerate Angus, (which for Faye is saying a LOT!) why can't people on the forums.

Forever? no. But redemption takes more than simply regretting his actions and saying he's sorry, He has to actually change. He hasn't had an oppurtunity demonstrate any new caring for other's feelings. All he has done is try to make things less awkward FOR HIM, because HE feels bad.

Also: annoying someone =/= cheating on someone.

The worst thing Angus ever did to Faye was bug her. Sven threw Faye under the bus for a one-time fling.

Angus has never knowingly violated Faye's limits, and when he did and she let him know, he got back within them immediately.

Sven not only knowingly, but explicitly violated Faye's trust. He has to earn his redemption, not simply ask for it.
