I prefer no hair, even a little bit weirds me out. Its gross.

You mean pubic hair? Because, I mean, if that's what you prefer, that's fine. But, it shouldn't weird you out. It's natural, after all.
Yea, I don't know why, but I think its fucking disgusting.

Oh my.  You're like the scholar who rejected his wife on their wedding night because his only previous exposure to naked women was Greek statues. (Of course that's only speculation).
No, I'm like the guy who would rather not stick his bits into a jungle, thank you very much.

A Dune-themed costume party would be very appropriate for this time of year, not to mention to see who would dress to which role/character.

I can only imagine at the hijinks Hannelore would have with a stillsuit...

I do not know... It is all really to do with hormones, teenage boys can end up with them if they have an imbalance. I prefer to be clean-shaven, I get a little miffed if I am with a guy who clearly has made no effort at all to tame it. Also where I live it is really hot and it is just more comfortable not to have any.

Are guys really that picky about what's surrounding a vagina?
Not me.
Me neither. In fact, I don't reallly care for the shaven-brazilian-12-year-old-look.

Matter of fact, I prefer non-shaved.

Makes you look more like a woman, not a little girl. I have no interest in little girl bits. (that's creepy to even think about)

Well, its kind of the last thing you find out about a woman, so its a bit late for complaining, but in principle I prefer my women womanlike, not babylike.

Also the reason why I would prefer a Kirsten Dunst over a Megan Fox any day. Yeah Megan Fox is more beautiful, but she looks too much like a baby and thats horribly offturning and completely unsexy.

I once knew a girl whose dad thought she was mentally ill because she didn't want to shave.
Sounds like a candidate for the creepiest dad ever.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that as long as it's well-maintained a lil' bush isn't bothersome. However if your hedges are overgrown and small forest animals have taken refuge in your nether regions then it is probably time for a trim

Also, Kirsten Dunst seems like she's more likely to read books that don't have pictures in them, whereas Megan Fox seems more like an Us Magazine kind of gal. At least that's the image they seem to be selling. In real life I'm sure they're both very intelligent.

I suppose in that comparison Megan Fox is more beautiful than Kirsten Dunst (who really needs to buy a damn bra), but the perma-tan is a real turn off for me. If I were to pick a really beautiful female adult celebrity I would have to go for someone like Natalie Portman or Abbie Cornish.

Just to try to stay off the topic of pubic hair and badgers, does anyone else feel like Dora may be going a little too far? All Marten wanted to do was try out a moustache, and then she could make a judgement on whether she thinks he should keep it. It is his face, what if he objected to her going back to blonde? Should she automatically follow what he says?

(needs to be read with the same voice that you use for "SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!")

Maybe it was all the facial hair commentary that brought him back... naaah, that would be too easy.

It was probably the pubic hair comments!

When did his nose turn into Marigold's nose?  Maybe they're related?  Talk about opposite sibling temperaments!

OK, now the Steve/Marigold shipping may begin...

There are some girls who just can't stand the facial hair; claim it jabs them. If Dora is very bare down there, I can see that being a reason for objecting.

badgers are cool.

I read the Dune trilogy once.  I remember having to wait for the third book to be published.  Some of the names are familiar - Baron Harkonnen, Bene Gesserit (some kind of holy order?), the Spice, the stillsuits recycling water on a desert planet, and of course the worms.  But damn, I was a teenager back then!  A lot of these references are long lost in the fog of time...

Never saw the movie, either - was it worth it?  Or should I put the books back into my ever-growing-stack-of-things-I-need-to-read-someday?

I agree that she may be going to far, but her reaction isn't particularly uncommon. In my experience, most woman in our culture (i.e.: Anglo-American/Canadian) are not fond of men with facial hair. My ex actually once said to me, upon my considering growing a beard, "No. You can't have a beard. Well, maybe when you're an old man, but not now." So, yeah, perhaps "too far," but not uncommon.

There's a balance of power going on there, too, both in the Dora/Marten and Ink Slinger/ex Mrs. ink slinger relationship.  Do you do what they want to make them happy, or do they allow you to do what you want to make you happy?

Damn, now all I can think of is the Gift of the Magi...

I never really got to the end of the Dune series. I kind of lost interest after the first novel. Maybe I'll try rereading them some time.

I'd like to see Marten man up a bit and grow that 'stache, then see if it looks creepy or bitchin'. If Dora thinks it's too prickly, then he can just withhold kissing.

Back to girls for a bit: I'd pick Kirsten Dunst over any other female to gawk at. It's the sunshine in that smile that does it.

BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS. The original Dune is the best book in my opinion; the others drag on a little. The film is very stylised, very different to the book, and slightly strange.

That must have been difficult.  I started at 12, but I guess I grew fast because I also hit a C-cup at 13.  I think I got up to C and a half (seriously.  Bra sizes.  Someone fix these things) but I lost weight during my senior year in high school and they got smaller again.  DAMN YOU STRESS OF HIGH SCHOOL.

To return the conversation to the topic of pubic hair:

It's almost certainly got something to do with media influences, but I prefer the women I /interact/ with to be body-hairless. Bits are fun to look at and play with - why cover them up? Going further, up here in the PacNorWes, there's a decidedly conspicuous 'female freedom' movement where some girls not only don't shave, but then dress in ways to make you notice that they don't shave. Those ladies are free to do [or not] what they like - it's their body and they are the only boss - but I hope that I never have to have that conversation with a furred girl. If you look like chewbacca from the knees down, wear pants.

The trade of 'I'll shave here when you shave there' is a familiar one, and I'll make it any day.

I agree.  We need to see/feel hair be 'reminded' that we're with an adult; we should expect every man to embrace their facial hair, no matter how it grows in or looks like.  Those women (or dudes) who prefer clean-shaven men must have a perverse desire for pre-pubescent boys, obviously.

Yeah, the Dune reerences are getting a little thick (but then, so am I).

In fact, I really don't know what half of ya's are talkin' 'bout.

Doesn't stop me from posting, though!

Back to the hair thing; facial or pubic, I can't imagine keeping it really clean.  I mean, an hour after shaving, I feel sand-papery, and that's on my neck - I don't shave the thick part on the face!

Never shaved anything else though, so I don't really know growback times.  But if you're not shaving the bits daily, doesn't it prickle in the panties?

I can't imagine that being comfy in any way...

it's from warcraft.   the peons and other characters say it, when they are selected and given commands.

they also say dah-bu and lok'tar.  I loved that game. Poor peons, smacked by their older tougher jock brother the grunt.

Lets not forget the other greenskin clasics like "Jol'dax" and "I not sound like Yoda, Do I?" (said in yoda voice).

and the sheep in warcraft 2 "Baaaaah ram you!" and if you did it three times they exploded!

I never played much Warcraft. Played alot of Age of Empires though, and the little dudes would say 'Erectus!' when you gfave them an order.

Also, does this comic officialy declare Raven to have been put on a bus?

I read the first panel and smiled and said out loud "This is gonna be good!", but it sure sounds like a goodbye for Raven.

Seems like Jeph just got bored with writing for her, and honestly I can see why. She's a one-trick pony. (No not that kind of trick.) You have to admit she's pretty much at a dead end; the only thing I think could be done with her at this point is make her intelligence less ambiguous, and even then what nice would she fill? How many "hey guys I'm dumb but maybe not" jokes can one come up with before they get stale?

I don't think she ever had the spotlight in the strip (there was more focus on the Penelope/Wil subplot). Well, maybe the few strips centered around her hiring at CoD, but that's going back almost to the beginning.

Sure she's the sentimental favorite, but she's just 'there'. Stuck playing the same unchanging role the entire time, like Frank Burns on MASH. I think Marigold and Angus are already more interesting characters. :\
