*cough*
Like I said, Germanic sounding, but admittedly not actually German. The writer(s?) took liberties with the Brittanian names (For simplicity, I'm taking the dub names). There's Germanic names (Bismarck Waldstein, Jeremiah Gottwald, Diethard Ried), French (some phonetic) names (Lelouch and Rolo Lamperouge, Prince Clovis), Greek-origin names (Euphemia, Odysseus), possibly Russian names (Anya Alstreim, and Monica Krushevsky in the original, dubbed to the Polish Kruszewski). Hell, there's as many non-English names as there are English names.
I do find a Brittanian prince named Clovis to be pretty bad, though, especially in a timeline where the French took over the English homeland.
