My only obsessive fandom is with this webcomic.

Maybe a few others, too.

But it ain't otaku level, that's for sure!

I hang out with Otaku.  Can't say that I am one, though.  Even though I enjoy anime I tend to only watch it in anime club.  If you give me a series to watch on my own, have fun waiting for me to finish.  We dropped Code Geass from our line up a year ago and I've been 8 episodes from finishing since August....

Speaking of kings...

I stopped taking Code Geass particularly seriously after the "chess game" between Lelouch and Schneizel. Having been a tournament player in my youth, that was absolutely ridiculous to me. (Same with the exchange over moving the king first in that chess scene during the premiere episode, but I excused it as it was silly but LEGAL)

Schneizel is a legitimately Germanic-sounding name, which could reference the German houses of Hanover and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, who supplied quite a number of British rulers.

*cough*

Like I said, Germanic sounding, but admittedly not actually German. The writer(s?) took liberties with the Brittanian names (For simplicity, I'm taking the dub names). There's Germanic names (Bismarck Waldstein, Jeremiah Gottwald, Diethard Ried), French (some phonetic) names (Lelouch and Rolo Lamperouge, Prince Clovis), Greek-origin names (Euphemia, Odysseus), possibly Russian names (Anya Alstreim, and Monica Krushevsky in the original, dubbed to the Polish Kruszewski). Hell, there's as many non-English names as there are English names.

I do find a Brittanian prince named Clovis to be pretty bad, though, especially in a timeline where the French took over the English homeland.

To be honest, I can't really remember Heavyoak.

I've had it for close to three to four years now.  Not entirely sure, but I think a friend sent it to me via MSN once.

I've a feeling I am not otaku simply because I was exposed to Animé and the like too late for it to bind me. That plus I look really silly with long white hair, and the ears wouldn't stay in place.

No, I really don't think I need suggestions on how to remedy that last problem.

Anime didn't bind me, either.

Does that make me a social otaku?

Oh, come on. Give me a little credit. The problem with the band as that it works best going under the chin, where it looks and I asked, didn't I ask, that no one encourage this?

Sigh

Besides, even if I work that out, there's the eyebrows.

Actually, I've been defigmentized. A very painful process, as it turns out. But no more figments. Instead, I now have delusions. So, rest easy—you're not a figment of my imagination, but a delusion of my mental instability, which means you'll last longer. Much longer.
