Also for what it's worth I like almost all of this forum but oh me oh my this one is a stinker

I even don't mind The Relationship Thread! It serves a legitimate purpose, and there is quite often actual advice in there, with the potential to be helpful! This was kind of just set up for a lot of people to bitch in a really unconstructive way though.

It's just a thread on the internet. Nobody is being killed or maimed. Some text which constitutes a few insignificant bytes. Some people will find it amusing, some people will whine like you've heaved a handful of dogshit in their faces for some bizarre reason. Most will be ambivalent because it's not a big deal at all. Sometimes the silliest threads inspire something memorable. Sometimes they just sink like a small rowing boat full of enraged bison. Essentially it's up to each individual to decide whether or not to give it the time of day and to also let others decide for themselves whether or not it was worthy of those few bytes.

You can ignore a thread or try to enrich it. Those are the credible options. Anything else is counter-productive because if you're that concerned about burning up the internet, you wouldn't bother to post and let the thread die a natural death. Unless of course the thread is considering worthy by other people and it doesn't die, whereupon it is officially no longer any of your business.
