So guys I think maybe I might have my beard under control but I'm not sure and my real life friends run rampant with facial hair so I'm not trusting them

so I grew a beard for a while:

It got a bit much though, so I got rid of it. Like, trimming it so that it wasn't all pointy in all directions was becoming a daily thing.

I get a lot of compliments on my beard. I don't really think it's that spectacular, but I guess since my face doesn't look like partially wooded savannah then it warrants minimal admiration.

Oh, you don't have to apologize, a serious amount of alcohol would have to be consumed before I would do that to my beard (I don't actually think I have the beard growth to be able to pull that off)

I'm all for growing out your beard and taking it way too seriously if that's what you're into, but man, when you start crafting it into little windmills and clocks and stuff, I'm thinking you might need a better hobby.

Yeah, it looks kinda cool, and I can appreciate the time and effort that went into it, but it still just looks silly more than anything else.

Yeah, apparently they do a mustache thing in February in Norway, based on Movember? What the hell, just stick to Movember, guys. I mean, you can make puns out of almost every month (Movember, Decembeard, Januhairy & Februhairy etc), that doesn't mean you should do it. Movember is the real one!

It's not like I even have that bad of a mustache, either. It's just like, imagine that my beard is Uncle Tupelo, and my mustache is Wilco. It's still totally respectable, but it's just never been nearly as good as the things it inevitably will be compared to.

Didn't go through all the posts but what part would be Son Volt?

Sam, fuck yes!

I don't expect a lady to shave, I appreciate the same in return.  Alas, that is not always the case in that said lady doesn't pick up on this.  (And I guess I mean shave in the completely shaved since, a bit of a trim on either sexes part is not a terrible thing.)

Did it really?  I have no idea, my fault for not being around for three-ish years.  And I mostly lack in facial hair as the lady declared if I ever want any affection I won't have a beard, lame right?
