I was very nervous about Richie the guinea pig before going on holiday because he'd lost a lot of weight. Went from about 1.4 kilos at his biggest to just under 800 grams and that's a massive and scary difference. Mum did a good job with him and listened to my huge list of instructions. He's just under 1 kilo now and if I wasn't worried about him being underweight, I'd be scared of that big a weight gain. Hopefully he'll plateau soon and I'll take care of it if not. I suspect he didn't like the hay I was giving for some reason but the new hay is taking well, plus he's being spoiled with loads of veggies.

Here's our new puppy Leo. If you think we named him after Tolstoy or da Vinci, you are wrong. We named him after the ninja turtle

I'm a cat person, and even I think that pup is adorable.

Hmm… A cat exposing its stomach is a sure sign that it wants you to stick your hand into the claw/bite zone.

That's actually not a trap! As long as you don't get too crazy, he loves belly rubs. All my cats do.

In fairness the biting and scratching is often affectionate. I indulge it quite a lot with my cats and am delighted at the privilege.

Understandable.

...For me it depends on how you define 'losing blood'...
