A while back I seem to recall there being a comic that listed a couple of bands as recommended for the above.
I can no longer find said comic; does anyone know which one it was?

On a related note, what other tunes would you recommend during sex? Fire away!

Jean-Michel Jarre's "Oxygene".

I got two vinyl LP copies and put it on a changer so I wouldn't have to flip it halfway through...

And I haven't played it in years. Read into that what you will!

My girlfriend and I delight in playing completely inappropriate artists during these "activities". Such bands have ranged from Slayer (I seem to remember Dora playing Reign In Blood during sex, come to think of it) to Venetian Snares to Agalloch to Adam Lambert to the theme tune from Pokémon. Neither of us are really into the more "traditional" artists to play, like Barry White. I guess you could say we're kinda weird?

To the contrary, using the shuffle function is how many of those bands I mentioned come up in the first place.

True. It's not always shuffle though; sometimes we pick out the inappropriate songs deliberately, other times we let my library decide what it wants to play. I still remember the time it played Psychobilly Freakout by Reverend Horton Heat. :p

I guess most people wouldn't be as into the act with this sort of music? I think we just like having something on in the background, and it amuses us if it happens to be something that doesn't usually get played in that situation. *shrugs shoulders*

If I'm in a "making love" sort of mood, then it's Nina Simone. I'm not generally big on jazz, but I love Nina Simone and have several of her albums. I Want a Little Sugar in my Bowl just gets me in the mood.

When I'm feeling "friskier" I like Karsh Kale. Good bass, nice pace and I like the Indian fusion. Gives it a little spice.

Am I the only person who never has music on during sex? Does everyone just play music all the time and that's how it happens? I would feel pretty awkward and my wife might get annoyed if she was all up on me and i was like wait let me go turn on itunes.

I certainly have no need for music nor find any enhancement from it being on during sex.
