Played it, was good if you like classic MMO's that doesn't really stray much from the well-used and finely tuned path. Its well-made, alright storyline, good questing system.
I was entertained, got to max level, did all the dungeons and raids and got all the gear I needed. And after that endgame got pretty boring, it becomes all about dailies.
The region wide events are quite nice in the first few areas, but as with everything else you grow tired of it. The world events are somewhat cool if you ignore the lag problems, but only when playing on a PvP server imo. Else you lose out on half the fun, which is keeping the opposition away. PvP servers offers a lot more, in my humble opinion. The server I played on (EU: Bloodiron) didn't have a ganking problem either, so taking the chances on going on a PvP server may be worth it.
Their class system is one of their major strengths, you get to wear all the different hats with nearly all classes. I was a cleric, and had a tank spec, PvP healer spec, DPS spec and a Dungeon Healer spec. Alllowed for a lot of rotation and trying out different roles without having to start from scratch again. Respeccing was easy and affordable so a lot of my time went to testing, parsing and tuning it to perfection. Which really is half the fun in a MMO, innit.
Anyway, have fun!
