I am definitely staying at the Hans Brinker Budget Hotel on my next trip to Amsterdam. At least they're honest.

"Those wishing to stay at the Hans Brinker Budget Hotel, Amsterdam, do so at their own risk and will not hold the hotel liable for food poisoning, mental breakdowns, terminal illness, lost limbs, radiation poisoning, certain diseases associated with the 18th century, plague, etcetera."

What is this I don't even ...

Incidentally, from my experience, there are only two ways to enjoy that city: group low-budget sex, booze and drugs trip, or high-budget museum/art gallery/theatre dive. I tried the latter on a low-budget scale, and it was fucking miserable, and since I do nothing of the former, I left the next day for Strasbourg.  :psyduck:

Wow, that snake venom thing is incredible.

I went to Amsterdam. The trip would have been vastly improved if any of the following had not been the case:
1) I had only just become able to stand upright following a horrific, hallucination-inducing bout of tonsillitis
2) I packed whilst under the influence of the fever and therefore put all shorts and trousers into one bag and all t-shirts into another, which was the one I took. I therefore spent the weekend wearing the dress, thick woollen tights, and knee-high boots I had travelled in.
3) The friends with whom I was there had misinformed me, and were booked into a different hotel until the night I left, so I was alone in the hostel.
4) The hostel had no air conditioning, the windows did not open, and my room was occupied by fifteen giggling German girls who never slept.

Amsterdam was awful.

It is true though - there are things we do today that we couldn't even DREAM of doing back in '69.

That makes the tech that much more amazing.

It's even more amazing when you consider that the Space Shuttles - which were supposed to be "state of the art" when they started flying back in the late 70's/early 80's - had about the same computing power than your typical smartphones.

Do they provide nickel-plated skates?

Well, I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates - if you've got a brand new key, that is.

This is quite an enjoyable song to get stuck in your head on a boring snowy Monday.  :-D

That's pretty amazing, behavioristically
I agree, its almost human in how he walks with the blanket and straightens it.

The chimp with the blanket, or the cat? Because I don't get what is going on with that cat.
the chimp.

the cat was born with black marks that look like eyebrows giving him/her a sad or innocent look.
