Of course she will, she is still the objective for a male protagonist and not a real character.

Parasol, yes. Emo powers...uh, I dunno. I remember she wielded a frying pan, and her special attack was a hip-bump or something...also, she threw turnips at her opponents.

Not a parasol. She flew with her skirt. And I don't remember a frying pan....?

Anyway, I found another one. Maybe one day we'll find them all.

Alternatively, it'll periodically make women reference a dictionary to make sure they got the English right! :-D

This leapt out;

Quote
Neither rat was necessarily aware of the other's existence, for example, but it's clear that their minds were, in fact, communicating. "It's not the Borg," Nicolelis tells Nature's Ed Yong. What he has created, he says, is "a new central nervous system made of two brains."

How is that not Borg-like?

That's cool, but slightly misleading, as written here. There's some signal processing going on that turns the encoder rat's brain activity into a bit: a single pulse for one lever, and a train of pulses for the other. The decoder rat just has to interpret the change in its own brain activity as signaling the left or the right lever. It is pretty impressive that the rat shows a marginal proficiency in doing this, but the real work is being done by the computer.

What would be really impressive is if they connected both rats' somatosensory cortices so that impulses from one brain are delivered to the other, and vice-versa. Then they'd essentially be experiencing the other's sense of touch in addition to their own. It should be possible, the only significant hurdle is the precision of the brain implants.

The rats that can 'feel' infrared light were more interesting.

Radical suggestion: Stack the same kinds of lids for the same kinds of tupperware in the same place? And don't keep rotten food around?

I still don't know why my dad could tear out everything in the shelves unsuccessfully, but I could just stroll up and pick them out. :roll:

I adore puns, but then English is my second language, so maybe those blokes on the clip have a point.

Admittedly I do find puns a bit more tolerable in English than in Swedish. Not a big fan, but at least not quite as groan-inducing.

Probably has something to do with me being a Götalander. We derisively call those "jokes" Göteborgare (Gothenburgers) for a reason.

My great grandfather, a native of the Hamburg area, came to the US in his 20's, and loved puns in his adopted language.

I never met him (he died, at 93, 5 years before I was born), but I visited his home (it was still in the family).  Above the stairs going to the basement was a cardboard cutout of a cute baby duck.  Just after I asked why it was there, I hit my head on the top of the very low doorframe.

It left an impression.
