1. Red Hot Chili Peppers

Where and when? One of my best memories is seeing them in Hyde Park... 2006 or something. I was 17.

Twice in Albany, NY- once for the By The Way tour, once for the Stadium Arcadium tour. This past summer in Pittsburgh, PA. Seeing them in Hyde Park must have been awesome! That's pretty close to the year they recorded THE Live in Hyde Park, you sure it wasn't 2004? :-P

If you want to hear an amazing live album, check them out at Slane Castle.

Oh man, I wish I could have a top 10.

3. Sugar and Lemon crepes at Creperie NYC, LES. Simple and delicious. I could eat crepes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and this place has the best ones I've ever eaten.

2. Anniversary dinner with my ex at Butter Restaurant, NYC (the food was out of this world. We ate a dinner that should have cost over $200 for less than $75 (he was the chef's personal trainer lol)

1. Filet Mignon at Steve's Sizzling Steaks in Carlstadt, NJ. The best filet I've ever had, hands down. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

3: Chilis or Olive Garden are awesome dine in restaurants. I honestly prefer them over places like Insignia in the RenCen or other "Fancy" dining  :-P
2: Eating/walking during a Japanese festival. Notable among the food was yakiniku, dango, melon-pan, takoyaki, yakisoba, and unagi

2. The little Italian place Michael and I went to the last time we were in Boston. I don't remember the name, but the food was AWESOME and we also got free house made limoncello. So. Good.
1. Definitely by far the best meal I've ever had was at a Brazilian steak house downtown called Boi No Braza. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked and also it was my 1 year anniversary with Michael, so that made it extra special. :)

3. The first time I went to Subway (hahaha) and ordered one with meatballs in it. It was quite a moment, I realized I was an adult now and could eat whatever I wanted, all the time, and no one could stop me. The sandwich was tasty too.

3. Cook strip of bacon until almost done, and crispy
2. Pour pancake batter over bacon
1. Cook pancake as normal.

The pancake gets a little bit of a different outer texture from cooking in bacon grease. It's the most ridiculous thing ever, and also the best. A bacon-embedded pancake!

Dachshund? I saw one at an Octoberfest and decided the best name for one of these dogs was Dick Johnson. I had a buzz, but the guys I was with were too and we all agreed it was a pretty darn good name.

Re: Bacon

3. On a bacon, egg, and cheese sammich. But one on the fancy buttercrisp bread from the bakery because oh man, the bread really REALLY makes a difference.
2. In a maple glaze on a liege waffle. Mmm.
1. Inside of a waffle. Cook bacon, put on waffle iron, pour on batter, cook waffle, and voila! Bacon waffle.

3. On a sandwich consisting of bacon, extra-sharp cheddar cheese, mayo, and bread-and-butter pickles (which might sound awful but is, in fact, heavenly)
2. On top of a handmade burger that also happens to be topped with blue cheese
1. Grilled on a grate over an open flame - preferably wood-derived, although charcoal is fine too, and preferably in the woods

Pets names:

3. Sarpedon for some big dog, like a Cane Corso
2. Paul Klee for a cat of some kind
1. Mies van der Rohe for a Norwich Terrier (also for a cat)

Painters:
3. The guy who decided the left field wall in Fenway Park should be green.

Learned this when I took a tour of Fenway, that shade of green is under copyright. You cannot go into a store and buy Fenway's green. I forget exactly who it is, but after they retouch everything in the offseason, the (I believe) head groundskeeper is allowed out one gallon of said paint, and can only use it inside his house.

That's dumb. You can probably get that exact color somewhere under a different name or make it yourself and just not call it Fenway Green.

Three favorite things:
3. Animals.
2. Baby animals.
1. Warm, soft, fuzzy things, which can include blankets, scarves, socks, and also kittens.

When we wanted to get a match in the Dulux paint mixing system for a discontinued colour from another maker, they said we could send them a sample to match, but on no account were we to mention the origin, as then they would have copyright issues.

I'm late to the game, but here goes:

Top 3 Meals:
1. I partook of a nine-course tasting menu with wine pairings at a hotel restaurant in San Francisco with my aunt. I don't remember everything on the menu, but I remember there was fois gras and a very sweet white wine that paired amazingly. Also it was an art-deco style room with mirrored mosaics, and we were dressed up pretty fancy...it was just fun.

2. One time I was in Seattle at a library conference, and I went with a bunch of publisher reps and other librarians to a wine bar called Purple. I had a flight of wines that are completely unmemorable, and some macaroni & cheese with chunks of lobster, and also some amazing finely sliced brussels sprouts with bacon. The company, the food, and the sips of someone else at the table's digestif were all fantastic.

3. Thanksgiving dinner the year my Grandad died. The memorial service was held a few days before Thanksgiving, so many of us who wouldn't otherwise have made it there were able to be together. My brother made spanakopita and my sister's boyfriend roasted a medley of root vegetables and my sister-in-law made this feta & rosemary dipping oil for bread that my mom made, and dad cooked a couple chickens he'd raised, and I don't even remember what else... I think we had 14 people around the table...I ended up buying the table, which folds down to a 2-person table, when it came up at auction, mostly because of the memories of so many meals eaten around it.

Top 3 dog breeds:
1. Golden retriever
2. Basenji
3. Standard poodle

Top 3 ways to have bacon:
1. Right out of the pan, after cooking it over slow heat until the fat runs out and it simmers in a pool of its own fat.
2. Crumbled over rice that was also cooked with bacon fat.
3. On a grass-fed beef burger cooked medium, with lettuce, tomato and mayo.

I'd say "smuggled into a chemistry lesson and fried in a camping pan" would fairly high on my list of bacon-having situations.

Ha! Perhaps we are! I saw from your profile that you're in Sweden- all of my ancestors came from areas that are fairly close in proximity (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Ukraine). :-P
