Which brings me to why she was prepped and ready to murder someone: she was planning to murder the owners if they showed up early!

Emily is actually Hannelore.  They were switched at birth (nevermind the totally different appearances and all of that), and thus the "Hanners kills everyone at the end of QC" predictions can still be fulfilled.

The real question is, how will she kill everyone?

So, the guests ran the dishwasher, but how many people's pants were included in the load?

Depends - Dora, Hanners, Gabby, Claire, Clinton and Cosette are unaccounted for.

Which is a chilling observation considering how the arc started.

FFVI is the only one I have played.

But, y'know, it's the best.

:P

Sure it is

Seriously thought, I only began to play any game of the Final Fantasy series this summer. I've completed since the last months FFIII and FFX. Never played FFIV.

Did Kefka made an impression on you?
Ohmigod he's the best villain ever.

Other villains want to be evil. They want to take over / destroy the world.

Kefka succeeds.

And even before he does, he just runs around doing completely insane things.

He's just the best.

Prediction: Hanners has everyone bound ready for extermination as they look on in horror.  She raises the hatchet to take the first life but as it's in the air, Jeph runs a week long montage of how all of her friends changed her life so much and so positively.  She realizes she can't kill them, releases the hatchet and it falls, blunt side first.

The punchline: the dull part of the falling hatchet hits Marten in the groin, he screams bloody murder

And then Sara shows up with an allosaurus and it eats everyone.  The end.

"New release"??

I recall losing ludicrous amounts of time on Boulder Dash Construction Kit on the C64.
I'm not even going to start to describe the amount of time sunk into WoW ... (thankfully NOT in the background as I type - I stopped playing when Cata was released).

I'm glad I got bored about half way through Cataclysm, that game was a massive time sink.

I wonder if dad considers Emily too old to be grounded.

Also ... Tai said all the beds were made. So where the hell *was* Hanners?

And is the stealthed sentient flyer out looking for her? It has to be used to this sort of thing by now ...

I am more than a bit worried about the grounding thing. Or generally Emily getting into trouble.

Oh, Hanners seems to have a habit of passing out on couches. I expect that's where she was.

No ideas on the invisible robot.

Well, this... sort of. I bought my first PC from my first month's wages after graduation (I did not have enough money for a computer when at university :( ); the first game I installed was Civilization, which was by no means a new game by then (1997). It ended in a 1000 year war between myself and those pesky Babylonians that refused to give up... Until I had nuked their capital... repeatedly. When it was finally over I could hardly stand for sitting still for hours on end.

About the comic: Wow, that was unexpected. I actually laughed out loud (as opposed to the silent smirk most often meant by LOL) at the last panel. Gotta love Hanners.

I thought I should mention that I am extremely envious of Jephs hand drawing skills. By that, I mean he draws hands REALLY well, just check out the last panel of todays comic. Hands are notoriously hard for cartoonists to draw, you'll see a lot of unskilled people like me draw characters with thier hands in thier pockets or behind thier backs. I just love Ems hand in the last panel :)

I wonder how much time has passed now, since it seems already bright again outside.., oh no wait those are curtains, still dark. But sometimes depending how long a party lasted, you wake up in the late afternoon.

Once? New release? LOST?

I've sunk huge amounts of time into games, still do and probably will for quite some time to come. But it's fun. In the words of John Lennon, time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.

On the topic of Emily's parents being used to this kind of thing: Didn't she say she didn't have any other friends. So it might well be the first time she pulled something like this.

I believe the longest I've spent with a game was when I played first the Lego Rock Band Endless Setlist, and then just for good measure played the Rock Band 2 ESL in the same weekend. And also, the same week, I managed to get the Beatles 24h achievement. (play all songs and get to the finish within 24h of starting a new gamesave). Wouldn't call any of that time lost though, it was a LOT of good music :)
