You wanna piece of me? You wanna piece of me!

It cannot get much worse now, right? I vote for myself, idontunderstand. Just to prove that I'm not mafia.  :x

Accused and blamed for the death of Patrick, idontunderstand was damned by the majority. Shouting "I don't understand!" the whole time, he was hung from cesium133's tree until he was dead.

Unfortunately, a search of his home revealed that he was truly the simple mason he appeared to be. Discouraged, the villagers hoped against hope that another miracle would occur.

A familiar song of violence echoed in the night. The sharp staccato and the solitary sharp note, the music of death the villagers knew by heart. The sun rose to reveal the work of darkness. Headcount was conducted. Two people were missing.

The villagers went to inspect the cesium tree. A body was swinging from the noose. Gnomes2169 was cut down, the customary single bullet hole in the back of his skull confirmed. A search of his home revealed knives, guns, and cement concealed in barrels. Gnomes clearly was a goon in the service of the godfather!

Whatever joy to be found is cancelled out when the villagers discover the body of J. He has been shot in the back enough times to write the Hippocratic oath with the holes. He was the doctor for the village.

Paranoia is the order of the day. The villagers eye each other warily.

Day 4

There's only four people left. Two mafia, one insane cop and one vigilante...

Damn you all.

Damn you all to hell!

God, this village is fucked up.  Why did I ever move here?

But we do have to make a decision.  If we don't kill anyone today, the mafia will kill someone else tonight, leaving either the insane cop or the vigilante as the only non-mobster left.

There is only one thing to do in this situation.

Dr. Nervioso. I choose you! For a lynching!

I don't trust any of you guys.

I've been suspicious of dr. nervioso, as well.  Also, Nikolai.  I think both of them are goons, but I'd like to give them a chance to speak up before I vote.

And you were very quick to throw dr. under the cesium tree.

To be fair, he wanted to throw me at it for a pretty daft reason, which has hardly left me with the best impression.

That's true  :-\.

Ok, I'm voting dr. nervioso.  I don't know if two votes is enough, but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

HMM

Well guys, I have a confession:
I'm the crazy cop.
And which means at least one of you two is a mafia member
So be careful how you react to this post, as it will reveal who you truly are

"Confessing" doesn't prove anything.
You could be confessing to throw us off you. For all we know, you're the vigilante.
All we know is that there are four people left: two mafia goons, one insane cop and one vigilante. The goons presumably know who the other is, but that still leaves things up in the air.

I'm the vigilante.  And so far, I have the best only record of taking out the mafia.

If I get lynched, the insane cop is alone, and loses.  If I don't, I at least have a shot of evening the score. Looking through the voting record, I think you're lying.

Ah now we're getting into the crux of the game.  :-D

This is it, isn't it. Either we're all lying, or at least one of us is telling the truth. I could say I was the crazy cop, but then suddenly I've opened myself up for reprisals from the Mafia.

We're at the stage now where if one mafia member gets lynched, the village wins (such as it is). While if one more good guy dies, the mafia wins.

Do we toss the coin? Either way, the game ends tonight.

It's not so much a coin as a d4, and it really hurts when you step on those  :-P.

(I'm just so glad this game even reached the end - I've played far too many that just fizzled out).

In the end, it all came down to appearances. dr. nervioso looked nervous, the others did not. He was condemned as Mafia and was hung from cesium133's tree until he was dead.

Unfortunately, the truth was that he was really a crazy member of the police force. There were now two Mafia goons versus a vigilante on his last bullet. It came down to quickness of the draw. When the dust cleared, one Mafia stood alone. His fellow goon had fallen, but so had the vigilante. all of the valuable real estate was now his. There was a new godfather.

The Mafia Wins!

And Henri Bemis was the vigilante.

And yet only one person ever put me forward for the lynching  :-D

There are benefits of having such an obvious name  :-P

Of course, I imagine if I sign up for the next game I'll be the first one killed

EvilDog, I have to take my hat of for you. Well played. *bows* I was honestly annoyed when you suspected me for being mafia but I had no idea you were actually the GODFATHER (or maybe you weren't then).

I was.  But after being assassinated, I guess one of the others could have been - no one actually claimed the title, though there was this in the PM's when I was killed;

VENGEANCE! VENGEANCE MUST BE DEALT OUT!

Not to mention us taking the Unicorn out back to throw suspicion on you.  I think that was probably my final masterpiece...

What really chaps my ass is that I was THISCLOSE to killing Carl-E the first night, but changed my mind at the last minute.  Damn it all!  I was more interested in my own survival, obviously, than getting rid of the mafia, but taking out the Godfather on the first night would have been sweet.

Alas, it was not to be .  Well played, and great game.  I had a lot of fun.
