I am Ryan. I am from the south coast of England. I am the human on the left.

I joined the forum in 2007 when I was a sixteen year old high schooler.

I am now a twenty two year old ex-cinematography student currently helping my ma' run her first aid company.

I haven't been entirely active the last few years due to life things happening but now there is less life things and more internet things, so I guess I am back.

I like tattoos and stories and games and food and American football and the consumption of alcohol and the collapse of governments and stuff.

I do not like electrocuting elephants.

Hi Ryan!

Mike from Tampa, and yes, I did originally pick my handle when I was 14. I'm the guy who'd lurk for months on end, and then post some left-field quip that would make people either laugh or say "Who the hell is THIS jobber?"

I TRY to be good people, though. I think that's important.

Sorry, trying to be funny there. The wikipedia definition had an alternate definition stated as:
1. A being or tool that "jobs", pecks, or stabs, such as:
Jobber, a length of drill bit
Tree-jobber or wood-jobber, a woodpecker[1]

4. A professional wrestler who routinely loses a match (see Job (professional wrestling))

So basically, either a loser or a pecker.

Hey, dudes, it has been a long time. I have missed this place.

I don't have a lot of recent photos, actually, so here is one of me and some friends in togas from like a month ago. For reference, I am actually taller than the guy behind me by a couple of inches, but I had to pretend to be short for the picture.

Guess it's time I took the time.

I'm Loki. General god of mischief etc (although a lot less now that I am a mod. After all, I have to maintain the illusion for you there is something like order in this world).

I am male and *counts* 22. I have been an IT student at a German university for... whelp, two years? I am active in our student organisation/initiative/council or whatchaever call it.
I am also minoring in English Studies.

People tell me I'm altruistic and insightful an' shit. In reality, I guess I'm good at fixing everyone's problems except my own.

I'm vegetarian. (Remembered this because my pizza just arrived.) I dislike slapping labels on relationships.

I used to struggle with medicament-induced depressions and I have a bunch of emotional baggage pent up from a shitty childhood, both of which I guess feeds into my insecurities.

Uhm... you'll learn everything else as you go along, I guess.

So, I feel that I should reintroduce myself, although if you take a look at my most recent posts, you'll see that I had intended to be a better forumite nearly two years ago, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm Edith, a 39-year-old librarian. I used to be called pinkgrrlygeek and am still called Eed. I love this forum and its current and former members, even when I don't come around much. I live close to Redball and CRAP I NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHEN BOB IS COMING TO MY HOUSE... Bob, are you coming tomorrow? When do you leave? Call me!

Sorry.

I live close to Redball when he isn't being a snowbird and flying south for the winter, and I visit him much too occasionally. I receive drunken snapchats from Papersatan on a regular basis, and they always make me smile.

When I first joined here, in 2006, I had just lost about 50 lbs. Since then, I've gained it all back and added some extra padding, and my joints hurt and I can't reach my shoelaces comfortably, so I am gathering my application materials to go on "The Smallest Winner" which is a local version of "The Biggest Loser." If I get accepted into the program, I'll work out with a personal trainer for an hour per day, 4 days per week, for 15 weeks, and then train on my own for a half-marathon in September.

I work in a library, and actually work there more than I used to do back when I forumed a lot. I also don't have the internet at my house, and I'm happier for it. I value the connections I've made here at the QC forums, but I am a natural extrovert and very much need physical and verbal interactions with others in order to be emotionally whole.

Someday I would like to take a world tour and visit all the forumites I hosted during Chicagocon, and any other neat folks I have met along the way. I am currently saving money so I can make a career change *with* a safety net. I'd like to run a tater-tot food truck, or maybe a resale shop, or work for an auctioneer. Anything with a better career outlook than public libraries!

Glad to see you all. :)

Uhm...hi.

I haven't posted in these forums, or visited this site, or read the comic in about four years. Or maybe five...my maths is bad. I used to be known as the username 10101110, and then somebody changed it to just Will. The last thing I can remember happening here is Jhocking (I think? Didn't we just call him Joe) reaching 10,000 posts, and then Tommydski constantly deleting old posts of his so he wouldn't ever reach 10,000.

I used to live in a teeny little town in western Pennsylvania, but I moved about a year ago and now I live in Manchester, NH.
I'm still Facebook friends with like...nine of y'all. I've missed it here. I think I'll come back.

In a word, yes! I'd suggest a bit of lurking and reading the rules in the DISCUSS section (and some of the more active threads in there) to get a general idea. Some of the former regulars have left feeling that the atmosphere isn't for them any more.

Dude, I just figured out that prior to this thread, my last post was in summer of 2009. THAT WAS SO GODDAMNED LONG AGO.

So are there like...new rules, and social mores, and shit I should know about?

I'd really advise doing what May suggested. Even a toned down version of how I used to behave on here (formerly DynamiteKid, by the way, I remember you if you don't remember me...) got me in some trouble.

Hi and welcome back! No idea if you remember me - I used to have a Matrix-themed avatar.
