Game 1 was a success, so how about we go right in to game 2?

Recap: Mafia is a game primarily composed of two factions, the village, the majority who do not know their own members, and the mafia, the minority who know their own members. The mafia aim to kill villagers during the night until only their own remain. Meanwhile, the villagers vote on who to lynch during the day in order to weed out the mafia scum. Lynches occur when over half the players vote on a target.

Though the mafia may have the ability to kill a villager once a night, some villagers gets roles of their own whether it be discerning the role of another person or the ability to protect a fellow player from getting killed.

Game 2 has the minimum of 14 once again, but I'd like to play a custom version, which requires 17 players. However, the more the merrier, as it ~~gives me more room for mischief~~ allows more leeway in role rewards and opportunity for players to really show off how devious they are. If we can't get to 17, we'll play a Werewolf variety instead.

What do you say? Shall we play again?

I'm very tempted, but I'm not sure I'd be online enough to commit. Would I need to check in daily? And how many days do you anticipate it lasting, assuming it's the custom game?

My honest answers would be "no idea." My guesses are along the lines of the following:

Checking in daily is always recommended with Mafia games, whether you have a role or not, as extended inactivity usually results in Plan B, "lynch the lurkers."

As for amount of time, it depends. The one we just played around ten days or so? So it could easily reach that much. Conversely, someone could screw up and reveal the details of his Mafia friends to a spy via IM, and the game ends in disgrace within three days. It all depends on the players and how active they are.

Even if we don't get the maximum, the more people there are the better is!

I'm trying to stay in character this time rather than just outright surrealism, and it is causing me to suppress things I want to say in the other thread. It's a struggle.
