It has just occurred to me that I spend WAAAAY too much time here. I mean look at the forum front page a minute ago:

Not that it's going to teach me any manner of restraint any time soon.

Does anyone else spend as much time here as I do?

Well. You have very quickly overtaken my post count. I give you that. But neither of us is close to the "only pretending to work" -rating yet.

But the number of hours I have spent here in the past is higher than I care to admit. I delude myself into believing that it is so only because I occasionally left a window open, and then rushed to teach for a couple of hours...

I think if I actually admitted how often I'm here, I'd be instantly deemed creepy.

And probably fired.

I think I censor myself too much though- if I didn't do that, I'd have a much higher post count. I can't even begin to count how many times I typed out a response and then just closed the window because it wasn't as good as it could have been and I just didn't feel like rewriting.

I think that if you don't explicitly log out (does anyone?) it times out at 15 minutes after your last interaction, so 15min is the smallest amount that it will add to that total; you could probably justify saying it's an overestimate...

I'm at a cool 32 days of online time here.

The logged in time v. active time is something I encounted perviously when looking at my Steam data.

I have spent 2317 hours playing Civ V, and far more playing IV. I was feeling bad about it, but then Stephen reminded me that I frequently Alt+Tab out and wander off to class, leaving the game running.

The sandbox went years ago. Ben and I each went through a period of purging old threads that were embarrassing rather than illuminating. Indeed, when Ben handed over to me, he suggested clearing out Chatter (or whatever it was called at that point) and starting afresh, which I thought was maybe a step too far! Band is the area that has kept its history most complete.

I could set a job to automatically remove topics older than a certain age (set per forum), but haven't felt that it was necessary.
