A sudden snowstorm has left several students and faculty members stranded in Hatchet University. While it has never been a large university, Hatchet's location in the Severance Mountains has meant that it has acquired a reputation of remoteness, meaning that those who choose to attend are often left to their own devices as they study a wide range of subjects.
Unfortunately, this out of season snowstorm has meant that the few who hadn't left for the end of semester are now without heat and power and no means of escaping thanks to fifteen foot of snow blocking the entrances. At best, it'll be a week before anyone can come to find out why there has been no contact from the university. Until then, those trapped inside are going to have to make due. They have plenty of food and water, so its not like they're going to starve, right?
But the snowstorm has presented an opportunity to a small handful of individuals to put some theories into practise. Hatchet University is about to receive a lesson in murder!
Rules1. Days will last for 48 hours or a player receives more votes than half the number of players still alive to get lynched
2. Nights will last for 24 hours. Roles which require PMing the GM have to do so by this time frame else they don't use their action. Should you have a role with an action you wish not to use, simply have "ABSTAIN" as the title for the PM.
3. Roles of people who die will be revealed.
4. Posting is allowed in the night as well as the day.
5. Once a player posts in this thread, that post cannot be edited or deleted.
6. There will be no lynching for the first two days, but as people become desperate, well, mob rules takes over. Votes should be in
bold and in colour at the bottom of the post.
6(a). The first two days, instead of a lynching, there will be a Detaining vote. Detained individuals will be locked in a room overnight while the others search for a clue as to whether or not they are innocent. However, there is also a chance that the killers will not be able to pass up such an easy target. The detained, might be killed during the night. (40%, to be determined by a random number generator)
7. The player with the majority (one more than half the living players) get lynched and the day ends. Should the the day end before a majority is reached, the player with the most votes will get lynched. A minimum of two votes is necessary for a person to get lynched. In the case that there is a tie in the most votes, the day will end with no lynched occurring.
8. Dead men tell no tales (no dead players can post in the game thread or talk about the knowledge they gained from playing the game)
