Another week is upon us!

Prediction: Claire and Marten are just drunk enough that they'll wake up with a hangover, and wondering if they ~did anything~ last night.

Prediction: Because she is a little bit crass, and doesn't know Claire very well, Faye will needle Marten about whether he hooked up with Claire at the wedding, and then berate him because he didn't in a slightly Barney-Stinson-ish way (yes I have been watching a lot of How I Met Your Mother recently, what of it? )

Prediction: We see some more of Tai and Dora's relationship. Now with 20% fewer faux pas!

Hopeful prediction: Gabby gets her turn, with some long-awaited character development beyond her skepticism of Marten being so chill re: Tai/Dora.

Hopeful prediction: Hannelore does something which reminds everyone why she used to be the unequivocal fan favourite.

I think Gabbys reaction to the Marten x Dora x Tai triangle is quite justified. Keep in mind that Claire reacted in a similar fashion.
Also I'm fairly sure that Jeph will just ignore the whole"slept in the same bed" deal, as he's stated before that he hates such situations. I'm happy to be proven otherwise though.
I'm still pretty confident that the whole Marten x Claire storyline will not end with last Fridays strip. Jephzibah has had way too much fun trolling us with them two and it's pretty obvious that Claire is his favorite character to draw and write for ar the moment.

On the other hand, I guess many people think of us people in Schleswig-Holstein (the most northern part of Germany) either as jovial fishermen or as grumpy farmers.

I for one refuse to conform to any stereotype. I am part-German part-Turkish, living in Germany, grew up in Turkey, speak English better than both my mother tongues, am well-educated (not something the normal German expects a Turkish emigrant to be, or so I'm told), eat pork on Ramadan, despise Hip-Hop and listen to psychedelic MGMT songs.
I find it funny when I tell people I'm Turkish and they go "no way, you look nothing like one!". Go to Istanbul and visit all the places, then you know how a Turk looks.

But I feel like we're derailing this thread. Shouldn't we keep it to the comic?

Basic explanation of the story: An American farmer comes into this pub, and asks this Schleswig-Holstein-ian farmer how big his farm is. He tells that it's 30 hectare (75 acres). The American farmer laughs and explains that he would need 1.5 days to drive around his farm. To which the German farmer answers "Dude, some time ago I had such a car as well"
