Is anyone else getting #2422 as 2421 also? The yelling bird bull-semen sandwich strip seems to have disappeared.
Yes. The guest comic from Emily has become 2422. There was a previous issue where it would skip it (return to 2420) when clicking "previous" from 2422 but would show correctly if you  hit "next" from 2420. Now 2421 (Emily's guest strip) has apparently morphed itself into a clone of Tailsteak's.

The yelling bird bull-semen sandwich strip seems to have disappeared.

But if you go through using next or previous the guest strip appears twice (it's also listed twice in the archive).  Maybe he'll notice, or someone will point it out, and he'll fix it.

Emily sure is physical. How did that not get socially stamped out of her by now?
Probably 'cause she's as tall as a tree and people are too intimidated to tell her no.
Only since we've seen her. She didn't pop out of the womb like that, and she probably wasn't kept in a cocoon until age 15.

Though considering what else we've seen, I wouldn't put it past this universe.

Westrim - why would it?
Because a fair portion of people react badly - painfully so - to strangers or even acquaintances or friends invading their personal space.

And keep backing away until you're next to Marten and then you talk about what happened.
They should grab a lunch together and talk about it!

Claire and Emily do not seem destined for friendship. Claire is too weirded out by Emily's behaviour, and she's also quite intimidated by her. What Emily feels is, of couse, an unknown, but I can't see close friendship in their future, sadly. I love them both!

Don't lose hope! They've also had a ton of interaction with each other, more than the other "library group" characters (other than Marten, of course) so there's gotta be something clicking there.

I've been kind of wishing since the party arc that Claire, Emily, Hannelore, and Marigold would form a little friend-group. I think their personalities would make some really interesting dynamics, what with Claire and Marigold being more grounded while Emily and Hannelore are more odd. Plus I really just want to see more conversations like Emily and Hannelore have on Twitter.

Good to se a bit of classic banter between the girls. Let's just hope Jeph manages to avoid any more physical trauma in the overseeable future, so he gan get back to frustrating us with Marten's lack of a love life.

Warning - while you were typing a new character has been introduced. You may wish to review your opinion on the comic.

I feel like Dora is soooooo much older than Faye in this strip. Is it just me or does Dora feel older to you lately? I've got a feeling that she's been written purposely older ever since she broke up with Marten, but today she just feels old.

Faye doesn't really strike me as a "live on a barge" sort of person - "crazy lady living in a shack in the woods at the end of a lonely road" sort, maybe.

Hmm - I'm sure Google didn't show me that last time.  Ah well, it's known that search results are often tailored to what they think you want or ought to see rather than what you asked for...

I feel like Dora is soooooo much older than Faye in this strip. Is it just me or does Dora feel older to you lately?

She's always been distinctly the oldest; she runs her own business, after all.  But I guess at times she has come over younger because she interacts so easily with the others.

Raven + Emily with Tai moderating the debate whilst high on LSD = ultimate positive feedback loop of weirdness. Eventually, they start emitting enough strange quarks to reenergise the morphing grid and become the new yellow, green and pink rangers.

He's a sort of Rabbit (Wikipedia).

Mieville rarely gets a lookin, which seems decidedly implausible, cats will generally get there paws stuck into everything they can.

I presume he's supposed to be an indoors only cat?  This seems far more common in the USA than it is in the UK, where most cats wander in and out as fast as they can get the door opened for them (or use their cat flap).

Sure, me too, actually, but combined with her reaction to Emily's weirdness, I can't see it happen. Hope I'm proven wrong, though.

  • He/him/his pronouns

Mieville walks by himself, and all places are alike to him.

Kipling was seriously off when he wrote that. Cats have detailed and rigid ideas that different places are for different things. For example, our late cat was slow to agree to get petted anywhere other than in The Petting Chair.

He made up for it with "Mesopotamia", which is chillingly applicable today.
