Uhm. Yeah. Sorry about that. But Invader Zim is one of the most hilarious shows I've ever seen, though I'm convinced that vast amount of mind-altering drugs played a huge role in it's production. :-D

I'm not sure about that. Who could think of a scene, where a bee bumps into a spaceship, which then causes the spaceship too crash and the bee to continue on as if nothing happened, WITHOUT being on drugs?

I'm confused. If we only test, and non-Things can't be hurt by tests, there's no risk if killing someone innocent. Doesn't that go against a big part of Mafia?

Seriously though, as far as I understand, IF you test a Thing, it might kill the last person who posted before the GM post; again, as far as I understand.

Also bear in mind that we have no idea how many Things are out there. And all of them are allowed an action per day. I think that justifies nerfing them.

Pistorius makes me think of Pustulio.
I was trying for a name that could have been turned into Masterpiece.
Mars Terrence Pistorious = Masterpiece. I was going to go with Pisces as surname, but that sounded too plain.

Of course, it's much easier to turn Mars Terrence Pistorious into Masterpiss, but eh.

Is it me or is the RP in this one a lot better than some of the earlier ones?
Seeing as this looks like the last Mafia for a while, I decided to give it all I got. Also,
especially since people don't know how to play games and make it just excruciatingly boring (Loki, you're the number one exception that comes to mind)
this made me try a lot harder to not be boring. But then, now I'm stereotyping, which isn't that much better.

The spectrometer blows up. The test involves taking a sample of blood and exposing the sample to a source of heat. Every Thing is connected and so hurting the blood hurts the Thing and it reacts.

So, since blowing up would definitely expose the sample to heat the Thing should react, right?

The spectrometer malfunctions. TED obviously doesn't want us to use it and wants to stick to movie lore.

Are we defining boring as not RPing a lot? The whole point of the game is to get rid of the other faction first and that's usually through arguments and poking holes in each other's logic. I don't think anyone actively doing that whether RPing or not is being boring. I get that people would like more RP to go on in these games and I'm willing to play along because I want to help create that balance that satisfies everyone, but I'd hate to have to discourage the whole point of the game to do it.

Seeing as how the last game ended pretty quickly, I wanted this game to at least have a chance to run a bit longer (Not too long though) and something a bit different for this last game. Just watching the films that only one person was not killed by the Thing in the John Carpenter film. But I want there to be distrust, with a sense of people keeping things to themselves, hence no PM between players. If you guys want to kill each other, ok, I'll add an amendment to the rules during the Night Phase.

i think that's kind of the opposite way it worked in the movie isn't it? the reason the blood reacted was because every part of the organism was an independent life form that would fight for it's own survival even when it meant killing or compromising others of it's kind.

EDIT: Where'd your post go MP?

(I asked him whether he had seen the movie.)

Sorry Matthew, I'm a bit giddy and deleted that post as soon as I posted it... but not quickly enough it seems.

Make sure you watch the Thing, it's quite a good movie. But the premise is basically that nobody is to be trusted and everybody doubts everyone. I don't know if it's on google play, I don't use it. But if everything else fails, PM me and I'll hook you up with something.
