Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Oh, I wish I had posted on the night we did Jello shots. And by Jello shots, I mean that we just took cups of Jello that had the equivalent of like 2 glasses of vodka! There was much cuddling.

Aaaaaah just got in. My tolerance is shot to hell (which is probably good on my wallet if nothing else). A pint and a single and I'm done for a bit.

Glad to hear you had cuddling! Well let me rephrase that, if cuddling was a thing people wanted then I am glad to hear it.

Cuddling is a thing I want, but we're in the middle of THINGS right now, which includes a moratorium on cuddling. Stupid distances / people-who-I-care-about-so-I-try-not-to-cuddle-without-permission. >:(

One of my female friends decided to cuddle me, so I decided to make myself into a sandwich by scooting up to my boyfriend. XD I probably wouldn't have been okay with the female friend cuddling if we weren't both tipsy, but I was then, so whatever. I liked the attention. :P

Woo!

/end thread.

Booo!

Anyway, I just returned from a party of an old friend of mine. Too many drunks, too loud shitty music. At the end the music got better as more guests left and the host finally put on his own instead of shitty chart music.

I wasn't really drunk, but I wasn't particularly sober as well. I don't know. I'm bad at this whole "human interaction" thing, so I ended up sitting around a lot, looking at the wall. Some wanted me to dance, but I can't dance (well I know the standard dances like Foxtrot, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba and such, but I don't know how to move to modern music) and don't feel like it anyway. (Insert "Safety Dance" quote here)

A friend of the host, whom I met at several parties before, offered me a pill later, which I didn't accept, later it turned out all he had was caffeine pills, and he knew that, he just wanted to trick me into believing it was something else (admittedly I did some research about stuff like that a while ago and recognized that the shape and especially the size was unlikely to be "that").

I don't know why I'm telling you all this.

Final conclusion of this evening:
not bad, but not really good either. Simply "meh".

I have no trouble recognising the rhythm or anything, I just don't feel it with most modern club/dance music. Some older stuff gives me a nearly unbearable need to move, like swing and such, also some modern music like hardstyle and hardcore (but dancing to that is mostly punching the air in the rhythm, at least if you're not doing "hakken", jumping (Hardjump) or shuffling to it)

Same applies for two friends of mine when you put on some Hardstyle or Drum'n'Bass. They can't keep their feet still.

I woke up slightly hung over and slightly drunk. I am now drifting steadily into just hung over.

Last night was a brilliant night out. I haven't had one like it in a long time.

I'm going to have lunch at the pub

I guess I'm lucky then. I was never hungover. Not once. I don't know how that feels, and I'm quite happy about that.

Ahh, the local pub. Ever a good place to cure the hangover. I used to be the go to guy for hangover cure meals in a pub I used to work at. A chorizo and ham hash always settled the job, I found.

Russian hangover cure: water from pickled cucumbers. Apparently it does something with the electrolytes or something. And, of course, it's fluid.

I've heard pickle juice is good for nausea (and tried it once, successfully, though my desperation may have had a placebo effect - I hate feeling nauseated), so I could see it helping with a hangover.

Mr. Bemis and I just split a bottle of cheap champagne to celebrate the fact that our champagne glasses are clean (well, along with the rest of the kitchen.  It was a project.  I didn't know you could clean behind the stove.  I didn't know there was a 'behind the stove').

Last night was my bachelorette party. It was good times. Went to a Mexican restaurant down the road (like, a real one, not an Americanized one) and had a beautifully strong raspberry margarita with dinner. (Even with all my food, I was tipsy when we left.) Then we went back to my house, had a lingerie/Pure Romance party, and then played a drinking game to Dirty Dancing. A few spent the night and I just got home from breakfast and OMG savory breakfasts are the best for post-drinking. I don't have a hangover, just tired, but everything tasted like the best thing ever. Mmm.

Also whipped cream vodka with orange soda is yumtastic.

I drank some dutch single malt whiskey yesterday. And it wasn't awful. In fact, it was pretty damn good. Sweet, like licoriche. Pretty awesome.

The Japanese do a pretty damn good whiskey, single malt scotch and other wise.
