Well, today was an interesting night. I think I've sobered up completely by now, but I'll post it in this thread anyway.
This evening a friend of mine held a farewell party. She'll move to Denmark this weekend, so she wanted to say goodbye to everyone. There were far less people than I expected (basically 4 people other than her and me). Was a funny evening, drank a little bit of bourbon, but hold back, because I know how I react on more than a bit of alcohol. About at eleven the other girl who was there convinced us to go to a club. I don't have much experience in clubbing, but what the experience I have is rather negative. Because of that I was a bit hesitant, but seeing how good this evening has been to that point I decided to tag along. When we arrived the place was almost empty. It was a small club, with a rather unique interior. Everything was made to look "maritime". Anyway, as we entered Indie Rock was playing. We went close to the bar, bought us something to drink (by that time I had completely stopped drinking alcoholic beverages) and enjoyed the music. I felt slightly reminded of
this comic. The music made me smile. Later the club got pretty crowded, but I could handle it. I kept to my friends and everything was fine. Some of our group left at 1am, I stayed till 3am, with a good friend of mine.
While the music didn't stay as good as it was at the beginning (they soon went over to 80s/early 90s music, then to more mainstream dance music (which is not exactly my favourite genre), and at last back to more Indie Rock) it was much more enjoyable than at the other clubs I've went to. I even managed to dance quite a lot. I still feel like it looked like
Marten, but I kept my arms lower and my feeling for rhythms is quite good (I even noticed that a song that played short before we left was written in a 7/8th rhythm), so I don't think I was as bad as him.
While I feel like my muscles will be quite sore tomorrow, I was having fun today. Which is something notable for me. Especially when it was in a club.
