Haiku Challenge

A change of thread rules:
just do what you really want
post random haiku.
Do you mean to say
One can have anything said
Right here in this thread?

All of these options
Makes it difficult to choose
A theme for haikus

Regardless, I will
Try to keep order retained
Even unconstrained.

Now I think I will
First upon myself impose
A rule no one knows

You must find this rule.
"Easy" you say? That's quite bold
See, this rule's twofold.

To find one is an
Easy challenge, I confess.
Very much so, yes.

Even if you find
Part one, though, you need part two
And I'll give this clue:

Disguised in this mess
May be some familiar names
And they sparked these games.

(That's your only hint.
After your brains have been racked,
I want this code cracked!)

In case you actually want an answer, Japanese doesn't in general have plural forms.  However, when a word is borrowed into English, it is usual to treat it in an English manner - so haikus would be correct (and is indeed listed in the OED).

Haikus is correct:
The OED tells me so.
Not so in Japan!

Oh I envy thee
bigger boobs, a perfect smile,
and I am single.

Blue, brown, and some green
and waves of hair frame your lids
I see you through him.

Harmonic waveforms
sounds with beautiful meaning,
makes me nostalgic.

I climb up the stairs
peace, safety and warm shelter,
I calmly breathe out.

Feel the skin I touch,
slowly searching your center,
my magical hands.

A spark in my mind,
doors of possibility
and I'm walking through.

Looking for answers,
why was I so drunk last night?
My head is pounding.

"Let's drink fancy beer!"
Bad influence by room-mate,
Liquor afterwards.

"To mix is to err"
I recalled the day after
a tiny bit late

So now the day passed
Head pounding and sight blurry
and playing Tetris.

Do the English say animes, mangas, or samurais? My dictionary lists haiku first as a plural, with haikus as an alternative. Considering how many English words have no plural form (sheep, deer, cod, fish, haddock, buffalo, salmon, swine, trout, aircraft etc.) I see no reason not to follow Japanese practice for nouns taken from their language.

There is no consistency, really.  I think I would instinctively say anime, manga, samurai, but haikus.  It's a feeling about the extent to which a word has been naturalised into English (as opposed to merely borrowed, which I said before), and how far into common use it has come (most English would have no idea of the meaning of anime and manga).  A word such as forum I would always pluralise as forums, and argue that fora is now an inappropriate usage - but I wouldn't consider criterions (of course, many people use criteria as singular now, and I have heard criterias for the plural).  The word anime is a curious case, because that is derived from European roots anyway - but using the Japanese form emphasises the fact that the Japanese product is being talked about.

Incidentally, in your list of English words, fish is a curious case.  It is used in that form as a collective plural; but one can also say fishes naturally in some contexts.
